how long do you trip

i was just wondering how long the average persons trip is and is there any way to tell how much ug's of acid there is by how long you tripped for?

i tripped for 12 hours visualy and for 15 hours mentally and then felt "far out" from people who hadnt tripped on acid for a few days if you know what i mean. i weight 145
soo about how many ug's would i hav taken as an estimate?

 

Id say 150ug max. Only because acid seems chince compared to what older people say it once was.

 

LSD lasts from 10-14 hours.

no, taking more acid will not make for a longer trip unless you take more acid later.(sometimes i trip for 24+hours because i continue to dose every four hours up to 4 times) but taking more of a dose all at the same time will not make the trip last any longer.

 

For me, usualy around 12 hours. But the quality here is not so good so in that 12 hours, usually only the first 2 hours are intense, there after it slowly declines to a medium trip for around 8 hours with the last 2 hours being a chill out decline.

 

I don't think you know right people, the quality is above the average. I can remember few times beeing blasted for 16 hours and having afterglow for another 5-6 hours just from 2 hits taken at the same time (2x250 ugs). I am also getting my stuff from South Africa, and they are not under 125 ugs per hit, in most cases 250ugs. Although I know what you mean, there is plenty of duds out there, you just need good connections.

Its not like the old days when I got awesome stuff.

That changed when my main connection, was killed in a car accident several years ago - taken out by a drunk.

I've never managed to establish a good connection since then, so I'm pretty much taking what I can get. But that's life I suppose, you gotta role with the punches.

i think that a trip can last longer if you ride the wave longer so to speak. i know you trip in a good mindset and with a powerful dose you can ride it out for a long time if you are enjoying it.

this does not change the fact that LSD only stays in your body for a short amount of time no matter how much you take. the noticable peak only lasts for about 4 hours - the rest is coming down.

when i take a lot of acid the after glow is so intense that it seems like we are still tripping so i guess we are, just mellow. sometimes (smoking weed of course) we are very high for another 8 hours or so after the trip.

 

From what I understand if one were to consume a thumb print they would be tripping for longer than 14 hours. I have no personal experience so I could very well be wrong.

 

I usually dont trip as long as other's when it comes to LSD, but I trip longer than my friends with magic mushrooms.
Judging from my last LSD trip which was 8 hits taken all at once, my norm is 8 hours. I took them at 10pm, got in the shower at 10:02 and started going almost instantly believe it or not. By 6am my visuals were dying down to nothing and I glowed with energy until about 10am. So 12 hours in total I was high, but actually what I would call 'tripping' and not just 'high' no more than 8 for me. Always has been this way since I was 14.

Yeah I think your wrong. From reading books on LSD (including one by Albert Hoffman) I believe that the higher dose you take does not mean you will trip any longer. Plus personal experience has also shown this to be true.

That is so true! In the begining, when I was young psychonaut I thought that I am tripping for 24-48 hours, but it was actually afterglow. As Rygoody said in one of his posts, LSD resets your synapses, and the rest of the trip you are reconnecting them (probably a bit differently than they were connected before ). The higher dose, you need more time to reconnect them, so it looks like you are actually tripping, while effect of LSD is long time gone. Actually LSD effect happens very quickly and it is gone from your system, but it is your mind that it is working hard after that. I guess that smaler doses do not disconnect all the synapses, just some of them, so you can reconnect them faster, but higher the dose, more of them are disconnected and more time you need to reconnect them. Thats why on heroic doses people usually don't know who they are in the beggining, and they need sometimes few weeks to come back. Well, thats like complete format of your brain I guess.
