Is it right that the Pink Floyd bassist should promote 'Fox Hunting' in Britain?.Even more sinister is Water's attack on Paul McCartney who vehemently opposes Fox-Hunting.Where do you stand on this moral issue?.
Hunting is only human nature and a human right. Paul is just acting like the prep he always was. I say, death to the fox!
Fine, if that's what you believe. I think it's a grizzily end for the Fox by being ripped to pieces for a creature that is capable of suffering & could be 'controlled' humanely by a high powered rifle.More to the point-do 'Pink Floyd' fans absolve themselves of what Roger Waters supports in a private capacity or is the fact that he supports or maybe even goes out on Fox-Hunts;make Floyd fan question what really is the motivation of Pink Floyd's music?. Especially in light of the fact that drummer Nick Mason also joined Waters in a benefit gig for the pro-Fox-Hunting: 'Countryside Alliance'?.
It depends who you believe.Huntsmen say they control the number.Critics say they do nothing of the sort. Fox-Hunting is currently banned in Britain under:'The Hunting Act 2004'.Many hunts have continued, illegally. The ban is in part, the rousing of Roger Water's angst. He grew up in Cambridgeshire countryside & his father & grandfather joined in Fox hunts. Bryan Ferry of 'Roxy Music' is pro-hunting & Eric Clapton & Georgie Fame both played at the Pro-Fox-Hunting 'Countryside Alliance' gig in 2006. Of these 60s & 70s supergroup musicians only Paul McCartney has openly voiced opposition to Fox-Hunting. Hence my poll. Ironically,Adolf Hitler banned Fox-Hunting in Germany in 1934 & it is still banned in Germany to this day.
If roger waters supported the seal hunt in canada then yes, i would oppose. Its foxes though man, sure there cute and what not but people dont want them around where they live, and hunting is a creative hobby.
foxes are innocent harmless sacred creatures who eat rats and mice. english fox hunters are not. the should be worshiping foxes for preventing the return of mid evil plagues. not hunting and harrassing them. foxes are the angels of the loard and englismen are the devil's fallen angels. or something near it. how did hunting them even get started? wasn't it the same bloodthirsty bastards who slaughtered the holy and ancient druids? in the name of some other poor bastard a thousand years before, whome they pretend to worship but would have crucified twice as quickly as the paranoid colonial government that did? (who had condemed fanatacism as did all others like him, but somehow few seem to have caught that, and fewer still the pure in heart who comprehend) =^^= .../\...
My grandpa hunted when he was younger. Ate whatever he killed. I'm not opposed to hunting if it helps to control the animal population, and isn't "overkill". Did you know that since they outlawed bear hunting in Yellowstone, the bears have made a comback and have been mauling people? Sometimes hunting can help in situations like these.
I'd like to know how many foxes someone pro-hunting eats, and whether they could supply any recipes? Hunting is only valid as long as you eat what you kill, otherwise it's sanctioned sadism.
It's hard to rationalise slaughtering wildlife these days.Humans can get it done though.Don't worry --by the time some of you young ones get old, there won't be much wildlife left, making it moot anyway.
the fox hunts in the united states, and i presume it would be the same in the U.K. are done on large fenced estates with a fox that was bred in captivity for the sole purpose of running from a buncha fucktard rich bastards dressed up like faggots. so the animal aint wild, hell usually they only have 24 hours out before the chase. im a hunter, that is not hunting, that is not a sport,. matter of fact, its one of the few ways of "hunting" im totaly against. its unethical to raise a animal then turn it lose and chase it down just to kill it IMO.
I like both of them but I have to go with Macca on this one. Fox Hunting is bullshit. It baffles me how anyone can get enjoyment out of it.
And little red riding hood's grandma. oh shit that was a wolf... meh same thing. Im sure theres regulation on the fox hunt though. I know in canada fishing and hunting seasons vary, and usually only last a short while. I doubt roger waters is a very good hunter anyway.
Some people believe we should completely go back to being hunter-gatherers. But the damage done to ecosystems is extreme in such societies. Native Americans did so much damage before the arrival of Europeans that evidence of it is still obvious literally everywhere in this country. But a -little- bit of hunting/gathering is just fine in my book.
I don't agree with the methods they use for fox hunting in England. If a fox is eating your chickens then shoot it, I have no problem with that.
Completely unrestricted hunting is very bad. Here in North America, the "native Americans" arriving from Asia hunted most of the food animals to extinction. In the US, there's really not much left in the way of mammals to hunt (though some species have huge numbers in urban areas, deer and coyotes in particular).
I LOVE Roger Water, He's got a home about 40 miles west of me. Surrounded by woods and huntable land. But out of all " The lunitic is on the grass" Stories Ive heard. And even help make legend in my area this hasn't been one of them. While I admit I have posted myself along Rogers Property hoping to catch a glimpse of him at his home life while I was hunting white tail deer. I now see a new oppertunity. And who is the master of fox hounds? And who says the hunt has begun? When can I go hunting with you ROGER While everyone is still on the run!!!!!!!!!!!!!
