hey guys, i will be starting probation/deferred prosecution deal soon that involves random urine screens...my question is for those of you that have had these tests for probation or deferred prosecution in the past, how long after you start the program do they wait before you have your first test....basically, once probation starts ill obviously stop smoking, but what are the odds of me being tested say the first day or two that the program starts? and if you fail the first test do they usually give you a certain amount of time to get clean before they do anything? i heard that after you start the program they give you 30 days to produce a clean sample but i wanted to hear from those that have been in this position before, thanks guys
Im on state parole, and with my first visit to the parole agent at the office, not only did they not test me, but when they checked off all of my conditions, regulations, and limitations, they didnt check off the drug test box! So I assumed, like an idiot, that since my charges were not in any way drug related, I wouldn't have to be tested at all. Boy was I ever wrong  They tested me 2 week's later and thank God I passed. But this is state parole, not probabtion, and I've seen people on parole walk out of their with just a violation sheet after failing a drug test, and as we all know, when you screw up probation for weed you might slide but when it's state parole your basically ruined. So I would say even if you fail, you may just get a violation and be watched much more closely with more drug tests than average. But I cant be too sure, so your best bet is just to stop immediatley and feel things out. Good luck friend -
