Moderator Appreciation Thread!

    I believe it's time once again for people to show their appreciation to the great moderators we have on these forums.

    Without their constant attention to the site, their willingness to assist others and their diplomacy, this site wouldn't be such a wonderful place to hangout.

    I also want to include our Chat mods who keep the Hip Chat running smoothly, especially Fylthevoyd who has helped with a generous donation to get the Chatroom upgrade back.

    Anyone who has frequented other forums or chats knows that we have created something special here. As the Internet has become more of a battleground for competing ideas and a playground for spammers, this site has become a sanctuary for those fleeing the madness of the Web.

    You too can help out. You don't need to be a moderator to report a post or thread that violates our guidelines. In fact we all depend upon the rest of our members to perform this one task because we don't have enough moderators to view every post.

    So thanks to all our members who keep an eye out as they browse the site, because it makes our mods jobs easier, and the site much more appealing to all.

    At risk of sounding like a complete ass kiss ... I do want to say that without the mods here this place would be chaos, and no one would ever get to express themselves without fear of being verbally attacked.

    I appreciate the mods.


    In addition I am very glad that I arent one. Mods do get a bad rap. It is a job that is thankless, and tiring, and maybe a bit boring and alot of clicking and dragging and banning and deleting... ugh.

    I especially love mods who do not let their own tolerance level, personal experiences, or opinions effect their moderating.
