There is a need for helping others with cancer or that are sick. It is cool to help others.

Good luck with falling in love and the babies thing. The world needs kids, just not from me.:)

Your have some good goals there. Taos New Mexico is a very interesting place.

Peru is one of my favorite places.

There is a place is Costa Rica that I am going to volunteer at that does some of the work you are talking about. When I have about three months free I am going to work with Jaguars there.

bc is the place to be, nelson is a real hippie type community right in the middle of the mountains, not overly too much snow though, revlestoke is in the midst of getting turned into the biggest ski/board place in the world, bigger than whistler, way more snow than most places, heliskiing, catskiing, all the un ridden powder, makes me want to go there, but i might goto either nelson halifax vancouver or vancouver island, im still in the midst of deciding where i see myself next year, or the next couple years, might just move to saskatoon for a year or two, or travel, gawd im terrible with things i want to do

I have a ton of goals.

I know generally what I want to do with my life-I hope, maybe sort of...

As for knowing where I'm going...I don't even know where I'm going tomorrow morning, let alone for the rest of my life!

My goals are adjusted by the moment :)

Long term I would like to be a highschool teacher.. subject TBA... I'd also like to live in a self-sustainable way.

I think you would be an outstanding teacher!

Your posts definitely make people think. I like that.

Living self sustainable is a very honorable goal.

    Much success to you!

If nothing else I have infinite patience and an unbreakable calm... 2 things I would have appreciated in a teacher when I was a hormone driven highschooler :)

My truest goal is to spread critical thought, help eliminate self-induced ignorance, help eliminate the defeatist attitude, and set things in motion so peace may actually prosper....

As a teacher that opportunity is afforded in not only the perfect situation, but on a great scale.

Much success to you, although it would seem you have already set things in motion :)

I'm finding everything I thought was important and lofty is a burden. It's all collapsing on top of me but it's an exhilarating feeling...so much weight off my shoulders!

I think I'm finally gathering the courage to do what I want to do rather than what I "should" do.

I am a man of simple tastes...the neighborhood, the bartending job, the girl next door, the all night gambling sessions...perhaps that is all I need to be fulfilled.

Yet I'm currently in the middle of a world full of business deals, degrees, political maneuvers and the like. I'm gaining solace in the fact that I'm finally not afraid to lose all that I've "accomplished" up to this point and go back to living a simple, low-maintenance lifestyle.

    Well said and entirely agreed!

So much more to life than acquiring lots of wasteful and excessive stuff... I'm right with ya there.

There will always be unrest in the soul of a person who demands more possesions - happiness lies in the soul of a person who demands nothing.

Id love to live in the tropics (soon to be alaska) with my soul mate/exotic beauty and our 10 kids. My best friend would some sort of non human primate. And I would live off the land, probably mostly fishing and eating coconuts. Thats my back up plan...

As for now Im shooting to moon with something a little less practical. Trying to make it in the music industry.

You know I had a similar thing happen in my life. After I got my law degree my world collapsed. Of course there were other factors going on in my life at the time.

After my world went to hell, I realized I was not living life for me. I was living it for others. I had to walk away from it all.

Now my goals are more about learning and travel.

I wish you whatever makes you happy to happen in your life.

Good luck in the music business. If not enjoy your exotic soul mate and tropical living with your non human primate friend. I always find animals have much to give us.

    Hey Mr. Unknown,
I don't remember reading about any goals you may have for the future. You seem to have accomplished quite a lot in your life but what about outstanding goals?
    I'm interested.
