Or "opioids", should I say. I have some experience with weed, a couple low-plateau trips on DXM, and one weak E experience under my belt, but that about sums up my dealings with questionable substances (other than nicotine and alcohol). Never snorted anything, never injected anything. I'm wondering if I should take the plunge and try an opiate. The experience obviously sounds desirable, but I am really afraid of becoming addicted to something. I know that I have a pretty weak will power, just judging from my experience with work ethic, spending too much time on the computer (or watching TV when I was younger), and so forth. If it makes any difference I've been responsible enough with my tobacco smoking to take week-long breaks periodically to avoid and addiction...but at the same time, six months ago I thought tobacco smoking was the stupidest thing you could possibly do. (I now smoke about two cigarettes a day when I can get them.) So you can see how far that's taken me. I'm also very opposed to making promises to yourself about future drug activity..."never say never" is my motto. I was thinking codeine. Maybe Vicodin. Any thoughts/suggestions?
If you struggle with securing a steady supply of tobacco after you've reached the age of 18, I doubt that you'll be resourceful enough to nurture an opiate addiction. That's the good news...
I personally binge on opium for one week once a year. Any longer than a weak and things start to go sour. This is just my rhythm. and damn those are the most relaxing, wonderful, sleepy weeks of my life...mmm.....
I'd just advise you to do as much research about the drugs as you can. It seems people have various responses to opiates. I hate vicodin, at least the generic kind; it gives me rebound headaches. Percocet is nice, but oxys are better. I think morphine is comparable to oxy in its awesomeness. The thing with snorting opiates is that if it's good and potent, you don't need to snort much. I used to think snorting meant you were a hopeless junkie, but it all comes down to moderation and self control. I think it's abusive to your nasal tissue to snort large amounts of drugs, as it happens with cocaine. But a bit of oxy up the nose here and there is awesome. it's a small volume with potent effects; the feel of it at the back of your throat is something you come to enjoy. It's ideal to do a line, go smoke a bowl (assuming you toke), then come back for a second line. Always a series of two. It's important to not do opiates every day; preferably would want at least two days between uses. the easiest way to avoid addiction is to maintain a healthy diet, get exercise, and avoid daily usage, but by addiction I mean once you stop you have hellish withdrawals. A moderate relationship with an opiate will almost invariably produce a permanent yearning and adulation of the drug. I went like a year and a half without some, and it was like the more I was away from it the more I wanted it, but it was an idiosynchratic desire, not a physical dependence type of relationship. So be aware that you might enjoy them so much that nothing else in the world seems as cool. It's also good to have a fixed "oxy buddy" or whatever the case is. That way you're always checking yourself by sharing and you can see yourself as you are, because the other guy is the same way. My wife, who is a polar opposite of a rec. drug user, holds my pain pills and dispenses them to me at predetermined intervals, just so I don't have the temptation all day to have more.
Here's one take: What is the difference between "opioids" and "opiates"? Opiates are drugs derived from opium. Opioids used to refer to synthetic opiates (drugs created to emulate opium, however different chemically). Now the term Opioid is used for the entire family of opiates including natural, synthetic and semi-synthetic. An opioid is any agent that activates opioid receptors (protein molecules located on the membranes of some nerve cells) found principally in the central nervous system and gastrointestinal tract. There are four broad classes of opioids: * Endogenous opioid, naturally produced in the body, endorphins * Opium alkaloids, such as morphine and codeine * Semi-synthetic opioids such as heroin oxycodone, and Buprenorphine * Fully synthetic opioids, such as methadone, that have structures unrelated to the opium alkaloids Medical professionals use the word "opioid" to refer to the entire family of opioids, and the word "opiate" for a specific non-synthetic opioid, however, many only use "opioid". http://www.naabt.org/faq_answers.cfm#3 Although sometimes the contexts people use commonly confine "opioid" to an assimilated chemical in the body that is readily available to opioid receptors, and they refer to an opiate as the drug itself before it's absorbed into the bloodstream
Hey, I don't have a job or a driver's license, so...yeah! But I see what you mean. I'd smoke weed all the time if I could, but somehow things just never work out for me when I'm looking to get it...so I can't call myself a very resourceful person. I don't know whether or not the psychological adoration that might follow bothers me or not. I mean, I think fondly of my Coachella memories and things like that--and that's not much of a problem for me--but at the same time, Coachella was special for me in a way that other things can be too. Opiates, on the other hand...not sure that anything else could give me that good of a feeling. Also adding on to my list: opium. Smoked or injested? Not sure. Injested sounds like a better idea but the taste is notorious. I have managed to begin to enjoy the taste of kava, however...
I remember how much I thought about toking for several months after I got high for the first time...Oh man. Wasted hours spent obsessing over a substance? Maybe...
It's your decision. Why are you asking us? How old are you, 15? Listen, they are incredibly good, which in turn, makes them incredibly bad. When you have them, life is amazing, when you don't, it sucks. If it's just a one time thing, go for it, everyone ought to experience heaven on earth at least once. But absolutely do NOT take codeine. It sucks and is the least potent opiate. Vicodin is decent and probably fine for the first time. Oxy/percs would be your finest option though. And I don't know how much you weigh, but 15mg-20mg is a good starting point.
whats wrong with codeine?? a good 350mg dose of codeine + some drink and smokes is a very good buzz, and yeah he is most likely not 18 but much younger
Well. Gotta say, the fact that you think I'm younger than 18 makes me rethink the way I present myself. Don't really know what to say except that I like to ask around for advice and consider all factors before trying *any* substance...since I consider myself a *responsible* drug user...
Codeine is a very good intro to opiates . You will understand/enjoy stronger opiates much more if you start out with codeine.
you actually come across as very mature for someone who's under 18, but I think when you said something about "when you get.." cigarettes, which i guess was suspicious, discerning ppl will be skeptical, but I grew up in Utah, where you have to be 19 to buy cigarettes.
