Hmmmm............The only person I know who got them legally is my sons mother, and she only got them after my son was born to help with stress, anxiety and depression. I dont know man, your only hope may be anxiety, sleep paralysis is something not taken into consideration for any treatment as far as I know, at least not by benzos.

Piece of cake: when you go into the exam room at the doctors, open & close the door 7 times while counting out loud. Then continuously wash & dry your hands. Last (but not least), turn the light switch off and on while chanting "bloody mary, bloody mary, bloody mary".

It seems like doctors really try to avoid prescribing benzos until you're old enough to drink. That's was my experience when I lived in America, I'm sure there are exceptions. Also, I think Xanax is generally considered to be more habit-forming than Valium, though they're both clearly addictive. They may try to give you BuSpar (Buspirone).

say you have anxiety episodes that last several hours. If you have panic attacks they wont prescribe valium, because panic attacks last only a few minutes, but if you say that you feel super anxious for hours, and it negatively effects your life. That is, if your willing to lie. I tried this when I was younger, but the doctors I went to didn't give kids pills. If they try to get you on SSRI's say that youve heard about kids being suicidal from using them.

I'm prescribed Xanax. It's fast acting enough to treat panic attacks, but if taken daily can also prevent them and treat general anxiety, without making me sleepy in therapeutic doses. Valium lasts longer, leading to hangovers, general grogginess and blackouts for me. Be careful with benzos, the blackout and addiction factors are scary, and not all doctors seem to fully understand the effects of these drugs on some people.

when my friend was 15 they gave him prozac for his insomnia. I doubt they will give you a scheduled drug when you're underage.

there is a trend among doctors now to perscribe antipsychotics (seroquel being the most common) off label as sleep aids. I would not reccomend any of these drugs unless dysphoria is your thing. If your doctor wont give you anything good, (a hypnotic like ambien or a benzo like valium) i would reccomend a regimin of Diphenhydramine ( 100- 200 mgs a night) and weed (smoke up) at night before bed. Works pretty well!

St. Johns Wort also helps anxiety, as well as depression.

    sleep well!

My friend told me hes about to get a valium script for restless leg syndrome. I was surprised because there are RLS medications, but I guess his doctors trying to get him addicted. So, say you have that too.
