i HAVE SEVERAL CLONES WHICH HAD ROOTED AND WERE READY TO BE TRANSFERRED TO THEIR HYDROPONICS SETUP BUT UNFORTUNATLEY THE HYDRO SETUP WAS NOT READY FOR THEM! CLONES WERE NEGLECTED FOR COUPLE OF DAYS OVER XMAS AND WERE LOOKING WORSE FOR WEAR TODAY - TO PREVENT LOSING THEM ALL TOGETHER I HAVE PLANTED THEM IN COCO MIX AND PERLITE AND GIVEN THEM LOW NUTRIENT FEED. i WOULD PREFER TO USE MY HYDRO SYSTEMS - IS IT TO LATE NOW OR CAN I TRANSFER THEM AGAIN IN COUPLE OF DAYS WHEN ROOTS ARE STRONGER AND SYSTEM IS READY TO GO? NOT TO CLUED UP ON SOIL GROWING - HOW OFTEN AND HOW MUCH SHOULD THEY BE FED?
It will not be too late to transfer as long as the clones are not stressed too much from their previous handling. You need to gently wash off the roots as gently as possible of as much medium as possible before introducing them to the hydro set up. What type of hydro set up are you talking about? If it's something like a DWC set up washing the roots clean isn't as critical as it would be if your growing in a NFT or aero set up. Coco and perlite don't mix with pumps very well .lol If you feel you need to feed the plants, do so according to the instructions on the bottle but start out at 1/2 to 3/4 strength. You can always add more nutrients but once it's added it's hard to take it away. Feed when the medium is almost bone dry but before the plants wilt. Stick your finger about 2 inches into the soil. If it feels dry, water/feed. But if your going to transfer to hydro in a couple days feeding isn't really a priority. There should be plenty of phosphorus in the coco to allow the plants to root fine without any new food for a couple days. Hope this helps.
