Do you think there is a market out there for an original 60's-70's style jamband to fall into? Ideas on where/how to promote ourselves- East coast? http://erthma420.wirefire.com
It depends...the most important is to enjoy playin' or jammin' with friends... It is enough for playin' live?... Enjoyin' his music playin' live his the main reason why you had to do it... Now the Jam style is a little dated but it depends which is the quality...in the late 60's -early 70's there were a lot of jam bands includin' bad ones... But you've got to take the risk to have a good time and make discover to people a strange music ...far away from popular demands... Nothing will came without risk... But it's maybe better to play a 10min. jam than a ("Allman brother band")20 min...but as i tell it before...when there's quality ...no one will check their time... nb: sorry for my average english
I'd love to hear a good jam band just wigging out for an hour or 2 (or 3 or 4) but it just doesnt seem to happen any more, which is a pity
If done well, yes. I still listen to 60's stuff, if you're innovative with it then people will at least respect that.
