Which do you prefer Private Messaging or Instant Messaging? I always have so much going on around me so I prefer Private messaging. That way I don't feel rude if I can't respond right away. Whats your preference?
Private messaging, for the same reason's. I should just remove the IM link - I never even sign in anymore.
I prefer Instant Messengers. That way, we can easily share pictures and music while talking live to eachother. You can even talk (through a mic) to the person. I think it's also a lot easier to get to know someone over a messenger.
Email works for me too. I think I get too overwhelmed with instant because I feel I can't do other things while talking to someone.
I like casual instant messaging...the kind where the other person doesn't neccessarily expect a response immediatly.
Yeah but that can be frustrating too. I have two lil' guys running around and my husband. I feel rude always saying brb or hold on. I rarely ever have a moment to myself but I love talking to people. Private or email just works best for me. I am not saying I think there is anything wrong with instant messaging. SOme people really like it. I just wanted to know what the majority likes.
LOL, im's or hippychat. Anyone that knows me knows I may be doing other stuff too. PM's are so frigging slow it kills the spontaneity of conversation. The forums can be a bit like PM'ing.
your such a caring peanut, but really, people use/say those all the time, its understandable, everyone has other shit to do in the middle of computer time.
The only thing I hate about IM'ing is that I will get up and go to the bathroom and forget to write "brb' or something and when I come back to the computer there's like 20 "hello's" or "BUZZ!!!'s". Then I say "calm down I had to pee" and then they leave....lol I guess it's too much info for them or something.
I hate the phone horribly, and I have no idea why ... Either or is great, pm's are nice..when your busy and have other things to do and such..
instant...coz then i get ppl's immediate reactions to things....rather than considered ones.....its more fun...
