Thank God for Evil.

Consider what and where we would be without evil.

Many think that God was punishing man when He evicted us from the garden of Eden.

They would be wrong.

Imagine us back in the garden without knowledge of good and evil. There would be little that we could talk about because all issues have a good and evil aspect. Even sex would likely not be available because of this and we would not likely be here. We would eat of the tree of life but can a life without knowledge be called life. I don’t think so.

God wants us to know that we know why we follow Him. We can only know why we follow Him by referring to our knowledge of good and evil. Without it we would not know why we follow.

Evil then becomes necessary for us to know God.

God then needs evil to accomplish His plan for man.

If evil is a necessity for us, and even having evil thought is a sin according to Jesus. It is impossible for man not to sin if man is to know God.

This is why Jesus forgave all sin even while evil still dwells among us.

We all hope that the evil that is done in this world is small evils but even as they occur we must thank God for them. They teach us of who He is.

God is Perfect and has provided a Perfect environment for us to seek and know Him.

Let us try to recognize this and actually see the Perfection that surrounds us as well as the Perfection of all of us.

you personally were not evicted from the garden . we the children can return whenever we want to . why not ? why not go ? god let it go to weeds and ruin ? and cripey , it's not even a secret garden . probably there's no evil smelling earth burning frog-crushing autos allowed past the gate . if you can't walk in , surely an absolutely friendly somebody will push your wheel-chair along and through the creek and over dead logs and stuff . i'd even suppose adam and that gal is still talking the same words over and over there in the ancient long ago way , like a movie , because nobody/nothing ever gets banished from time 'cept baddass evil . it's a special kind of anti-life power negative . baddass evil is banished by forgiveness , anybody's forgiveness .

I like less sinister evils like lust. Though not all the time. Too one track mind. Though that ones alright.

 

God is neither good nor evil. God is the formless, which cannot be understood by thinking. Good and evil are reflections of the dualistic nature of the mind, not the non-dualist nature of reality.

Is the murder of a child or the Holocaust, mere reflections of dualistic thinking?

Evil is evil. Whether it be the murder of one child or the mass slaughter of six million people.

who is of us vs. otherness happens when unity is needed for survival . evil happens , or rather , a sorrow of exclusion from at least one perspective happens . jesus teachings say to not worry much about your survival -

simple logic : inclusiveness is unity . is love that practical ? may its power banish only the fear or sorrow of separateness .

 

Evil is nothing more than poor decisions made by the mind. Your own personal Satan.

Evil does not exist in pure spirit because there is no mind to divide things into halves. Evil does not have any power beyond the mind itself. All these religious stories of gods and demons are just stories about the struggle to be free of the mind. Like you were in the beginning.

Before you came here, split things in half, and wonder why one side of everything wants to bite you.

Control of the mind only comes when you realize you're the one that actually creates evil. Once realized, you're ready to ease into the pilot's seat, and the mind will sit next to you as co-pilot.

As you now understand the nature of evil, you can begin to adjust your life to produce less and less of it.

I disagree with that viewpoint.

Do you mean to say, evil does not really exist in this world, and that if I hear someone murdering an innocent child, and I consider that as evil, is it merely a poor decision made by my mind??

Then why bother with the legal system, crime and punishment, karma and cultivating positive qualities, if evil only exists in the mind.

 

Because 'poor decisions' have consequences, wether they're about karma or rules followed by the humans around you.
I will not say evil doesn't exist, but we humans created it, not God. If there was a Garden of Eden we would have lived there in ignorant bliss and not worry about wat is good and what is evil, kind of like animals, and just honour and worship 'God' with just being.

So, if humans created evil, then, if a baby is murdered, it must be the baby's fault.

Of course it would be the murderers fault, and/or the persons or circumstances who triggered the murderer to do it. I'm just saying humanity invented the definitions good and evil. I'm glad we try to live by it, it makes life more pleasant in my opinion.

 

Because even sex has a good and evil side and could not be discussed or done.
If you read the Bible literally and start with just Adam and Eve then incest would be a requirement to start us all off. Not something a God would set up for.

Satan is said to have been the first evil. He was created before earth and us. He was brought down to the Garden with God to pester Eve.

Adam and Eve were sinless and hanging with the deceiving snake all before eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and could not therefore have been the first to sin.

satan or lucifer was an angel of light before he was cast out of heaven. he refused to bend a knee to mankind as God asked him to do and he was told to leave.
two things to remember from this parable are that lucifer was a bearer of the morning light and that he told eve to taste of the fruit of good and evil so that she may know the nature of all things. satan brought knowledge to manknd but there was a price to obtain it. evil isn't something external it's within us.

 

It still all goes back to the mind itself, and it's ability to divide everything in half. Even God.

Let us focus on the problem w/ labeling actions as either "good" or "evil," using the concept of "murder" as an example. What is "murder?" Is it to kill another being? If so, how is killing animals for food not "murder" and therefore, not "evil?" Does it only apply to humuns, so therefore, killing another human is "evil," no matter what the circumstances? Or does "murder" depend on the killer's motive, so why is killing another during war not "evil?"

Are you beginning to see the problem w/ labeling actions as "good" or "evil" depending on your perspective?

If you use the mind for input, it will do what it was designed to do. Divide and calculate. It should come as no surprise that people who have no ability to feel, calculate. Great thinkers often fit this description.

We've all heard the term "cold and calculating". That's the mind all right. It does what it does without regard to love. Love takes the ability to feel on a very high plane. The mind can't jump that high. So you get a cold, computer like response from such people.

People who feel, are more likely to see all things as one. A bigger picture. They are true socialists. They see humanity as a bee sees a hive. The dedication from those who can feel is just as passionate as those who think.

Seldom has the world ever seen a person who could balance both.

Unfortunately, we have put the world in the hands of those who think. Those who feel are often the religious, who are easy to manipulate by those who think.

The New World Order is built upon this very strategy.
