Yeah, because the turnover rates are so high at these places, people quit all the time so they're always avertisements and signs up wanting new hireys. At least, it is that way around here.

    Good luck!

You could apply at a grocery store for cashier. They hire anybody and everybody. Where I work the front end is almost completely 15-18 year olds. It's simple, and it's always good to get experience handling money. I started as a cashier and eventually worked my way up to customer service. If you're good with people you might like it. I didn't at first, but after awhile I really started to dig it, and I love what I'm doing now at the front desk.
I don't know of any jobs affiliated with art, but look online and see if you can find anything.

*shudders* working as a telemarketer would kill me. but, ive been doing customer service for most of my career and working retail for 3 years straight. i cant handle convincing people to buy shit they dont want. some phone shit is just like surveys or collections and stuff, that might be less soul-killing
coffee shops seem awsome but they rarely hire people wihtout experience. starbucks might be more of an option than locally owned in taht respect, but its hard to say... depends on the economy where youre at. my neck of the woods, low-skilled jobs are having a seroiusly hard time finding people who dont completely suck, so getting a job aint that difficult
