Good dose for a first time, prices, and general advice

I'm going to do LSD for the first time in a couple weeks. The plan is to go to a mountain and hike. We're supposedly paying $20 for every 125ug hit. That price seems outrageous to me, but maybe it's just that expensive. What kind of dose is 125ug for a first timer? I want to trip, but I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. At the same time, I don't want to waste the opportunity I have to experience LSD. I've wanted to try it since I learned what it was in 8th grade, and now my time has finally come. There is one complication which I feel compelled to ask about, however.

Last Friday I got rejected by a girl. Not a big deal at all, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't bummed or shaken up by it. Just one of those things that sucks, you know? How likely is this to alter my LSD experience for the worse? I am NOT looking to escape by taking LSD; as I said, I've been interested in it since I was in 8th grade. It's simply unfortunate that a negative event in my life happened to occur two weeks before I finally get a chance to do LSD. I still plan on doing it though. I'm already feeling better, I'll be with cool people, and I'll be doing something I've wanted to do for a long time. Does anybody think I'd be making a mistake? Is it too much of a gamble? I often worry too much, and would be very pleased to know that this is one of those cases.

If there is any other advice that I haven't specifically asked for, feel free to give it.

your right 20 dollars is a rip off, im sure even with one you would have a good trip since its your first time unless the doses are shitty. If you feel it isnt as intense as you like it weed will increase the effects too.

As for the rejection of the girl im sure it wont be a problem, just dont trip if your bummed out that day or something. Just wait until you have a good mind set.

Also where and who you trip with is a big deal. Make sure your in safe place where you wont run into any authority figures or around friends that can be dickheads because a little joking around with a friendly insult may not seem like it would cause problems but it can when tripping since must people will get very sensitive to that sort of thing.

If you live at home still plan on having to wait around 4-8 hours to be able to function normally again after you start to trip. Also the doses can take from 15 minutes up to 2 hours to kick in, but i would assume you'll probably be tripping in the 1-2 hour range.

according to erowid, 125 ugs is a "common" dosage, so maybe you should only take one. if it was me, Id barter the dealer down to ten, and take em all, but I like to get really high. Im surprised how much some people pay, around here standard rate is five.

 

125 - you will feel it but you wont trip much at all. if you just want to get a feeling for it like walking around in the shallow end for your first time then sure whatever suits ya. as long as you plan on diving into the deep end at some point. you really will not get the most out of your trip until you take 3 or more. i would suggest taking 2 for your first time if you are ok with that idea otherwise take the one and plan one taking more next time. next time take 2 hits and work your way up as you feel confortable.

now a days if i feel like a light dose i take 2 hits. one is never enough.

 

My only advice to you has served me well so I shall pass it on to you:

If you ever start wiggin out on a psychedelic trip where it feels like things will never be normal again and you have lost all control, just remember that in time it will subside. Keep in the corner of your mind always that whatever badness you feel, it'll go away! I have survived some intense trips keeping this in mind (including one accidental overdosing of DOC that stripped me down to the bare core for a good 8-9 hours).

 

I disagree. It really depends on the source, if the source is shitty then of course more hits are needed for optimum effect.

But I've had mind blowing trips off single hits multiple times, I guess the acid I'm sampling has more mics than the acid you get.

 

ive also has fairly good trips of single hits before nothing that i would say was mind blowing though. a standard sized blotter can only hold about 350 ug at the very most which still isnt a "mind blowing" experience but still on a good level.

i like the 500 ug+ mark. ive been up to about 650 ug im sure there could have been higher doses ive taken but this dose was measured out to be somewhere around that mark, most of my other trips are unknown high doses.

to the OP for my first time i took 2 hits known to be strong blotters probably only around 75-100 ug mark and it was great, just dont trip your mind out with the whole girl rejecting you thing, hopefully the acid will shine some light on the subject and make you realise that people like that are unimportent to your existence. good set, good setting, good people, good vibes, 2 hits and watch the world melt away

 

even though its 20 dollars and thats very expensive you should still buy it, if you've been looking since the 8th grade then you definitly need to do it since you have the chance. an lsd trip holds much more value than just 20 dollars. also I don't think being rejected by a girl will effect your trip, it may even make you feel better about it and have a better outlook and perspective on it.

 

125ug is a good first dose but most likely the dealer is lying because most street acid is much weaker than that. people gobble 2-4 hits these days becasue it takes that much to get 100+ug. If it's really 125 then $20 is a good price but if it's an average dose by today's standards then you're getting ripped off.
If you got rejected by a girl and you're still bummed about it a month later then you got bigger problems don't trip.
