just thought i'd tell you guys that if you want to go to this amazing festival the early bird tickets will be selling out soon... super earlybirds have already gone.

a child's (17 and under) ticket is £25, and an earlybird adult's is £79, plus booking fee.

tis worth it, honest! i'm buying mine now... :)

if you're not sure, here's the flickr group of photos from last year!

Gonna buy mine sometime this week - once I've worked out transport etc. (and where I'm gonna get a tent from..)
Don't quite think I could get away with a child ticket... given that children don't really have debit cards.

... Annoyingly, nowhere on the site is a "Book tickets" link! Do you have to subscribe or what?
    grr.

yknow, neither can i! the link must be somewhere... one sec i'll phone my friend :) she ended up booking the tickets.... *finds phone* ach i think you do have to register to buy tickets now but it's quick and free. apparently there was a link in an email we got ages ago...
but anyway the tickets are officially out on feb 1st so if there are any early bird ones left get em quickly! sorry guys :(

and buy a child's ticket nyika but take id cos they say they will id this time. although they said that last time and they didn't.

and if you can get to the places they do coaches from it's cheap and lots of fun :D make friends and get wasted before you even get to the festival!

We can have a hipforums meet up! I signed up to the email thingy a little while ago, suppose I'll have to get up early on 1st feb.

Well, there's a couple of outdoor shops near me (in both cities I inhabit) but they're expensive. I think there might be a tent laying around at home somewhere; the one my dad went round Europe in with all the joint burns in the groundsheet haha.
And a UK hipforums meetup sounds excellent, since there's nobody I know that'd want to come with me. I can picture the scene now: "Sleeping in a tent with smelly hippies? Fuck that!"

Noone wants to come with me either, so we could have a hipforums area in like a circle so we can sit in the middle with joints and not burn tents with them! I won a tent a little while ago, so I'm ok for one. I think mine was worth around £30 but it's a good one.
I'm now formulating ideas for a hipforums banner...

A tipi would make a damn nice place to sleep but buggered if I'm carrying 8-foot poles on the train to Norhampton!

Haha, would be hilarious, I can just see all these people ducking every time you turn around! It may be cheaper to get the train to one of the coach pick ups, I'm probably going to get the train to London just to go 2 hours back in the direction I came by coach. I would go fully by train, but i'm not paying £90 when I can go for £7 on a childs ticket!

Hmm, a coach pickup might be better for me as well.. the only train from Cambridge to northampton goes through London, and i'd have to catch a tube as well!

We often have Hipforums camps at festivals, so yep, that would definitely be a good idea. Best to swap numbers in advance....

Probably an idea.. the image of a bunch of hippies wandering around the site looking for each other springs to mind...

:) me and me friend got a tent for a tenner at tescos or something. there were some worrying flaws in the design (gap between the groundsheet and the doors, with no zip) and was apparently a two-man although it could only hold our actual bodies... no bags or food or anything. however it worked pretty well for just falling into bed which is all you need it for, so if you dont wanna spend loads of money on a tent which will inevitably get covered in burn holes i recommend it.

and one night we even managed to fit three people in it. ;)

hip forums gathering would be awesome! can we get a hipforums hottub for the night? :D
