the time is now! I hope this isn't considered as some kind of spam, I'm just trying to get a feel for where people are with their thoughts on how we're going to attempt to save our nation.

Does anyone realize that Dr. Paul is gaining some serious ground in the presidential race? How many of you haven't even heard of him yet, I wonder?

It's time to take back our liberties and freedoms, return to an honest money system and bring our troops home from war.

Aren't you tired of the shit our government has been getting away with at our increasing expense? An endless, costly war? The deficit? Illegal Immigration? War on Drugs? Crooked judges, politicians, corruption throughout the system, the loss of our rights, the freaking Patriot Act!?!?!

Over three fucking dollars for a gallon of gas?

Hopefully most of you are already well informed about Dr. Paul and also motivated enough to get out there and cast your vote.

I sincerely hope many of you are with me and the many, many other people who have discovered what Ron Paul is all about. If you haven't heard of him, please do yourself a serious favor and go to http://www.ronpaul2008.com and take a look at what he represents. He is definitely the best candidate and only hope this country has if we want to live free, and comfortably.

Fred Thompson has just dropped out, and if Giuliani doesn't win Florida, he's out as well. Meanwhile, McCain and Huckabee are both broke and Huckabee can't compete in states like California, Illinois, New York, etc. Only Ron Paul and Mitt Romney can, and remember, Romney is self-funding his campaign. He is also a flip-flopper and not a true conservative. Ron Paul is now the obvious choice for conservatives to rally around; not only will he retain the GOP base, he will bring in independents and prevent libertarians from going 3rd party. He will also neutralize the Dems on the war. This country needs drastic change and Ron Paul is the only answer.

The momentum is gaining people. We need to do this. Anyone who knows me knows that I'd never give a damn about this stuff but if we keep going on like that then we're all doomed. Don't be a sheep. Open your eyes. I registered to vote because there is finally a solution, and I'm voting for Ron Paul.

I think Ron Paul is a great choice for President, but Presidents are not all powerful. You also have to try to get more people like him into Congress if you want to see real change. I think about the only thing he can really do without Congress is bring all the troops home, but that is truly something great and would allow us to focus on the US.

if Paul's elected then it'll be a clear signal for the people of his mindset to run for office so we can get them into congress. BUT the citizenry needs to get involved in the everyday politics. that's part of the reason that our nation is in the mess it's in now. in the past people elected officials and just let them do whatever they want for the most part. think of all the unfulfilled campaign promises we hear each year. we've got to remain diligent. watch what's going on and hold our representatives accountable.

sorry piscean but expensive gas is here to stay. it might go down a little but that's about it. if it's any consequence gas is much more expensive in europe.

yea it's not so much the gas really that should even be an issue as we need to work towards renewable alternative energy sources anyway, it's ridiculous we've been forced to depend on oil for so long when technology is available to do otherwise.

I'm more optimistic about the potential to help resurrect our country now that I see there are a lot of people who believe in Ron Paul and what he stands for. He may not win the election, after all, what are the chances of us getting a fair and accurate count anymore? This electronic voting is bullshit, there should always be multiple hands counting paper votes several times, with public oversight, clean backgrounds on everyone involved and etc.

There's so much work to be done it seems overwhelming and many people feel like they can't make a difference.

But just a few here, a few there, spreading the word, all working towards restoring our Nation, it all ads up and it seems like momentum is gaining. Getting Ron Paul in there would be huge, even if he doesn't make it, the campaign and what it's accomplished is a great start. But if we can find a way to get him in there, think about how easy it would be to begin cleaning up congress one by one as well? It could be done. Get your signs and bumper stickers up and spread the word people!

if folks rode public transportation, biked or walked whenever they could AND drove sensible vehicles we would have cheap gas again since it wouldn't be under such huge demands. we'd have lots of time to discover and build viable, sustainable transportation systems.

me too more than at any other time in my life. it seems that a lot more people have awakened. i hope those computerized voting macines go away. there's been a moderate buzz about their unreliability. why switch anyway? we'd been using paper ballots for over 200 years and haven't had any problems and with only 40% of the populous voting, there couldn't have been that many ballots to count.
IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!

public transportation definitely needs to be more readily available... I'd love to see taxi cabs and busses run on veggie oil / biodiesel / hydrogen fuel cells at some point... I'm really hoping organizations like Google.org help get some of these kinds of projects moving a little sooner, it's obvious our government isn't going to do it and they mess everything up they have their hands in anyway.

My argument about the gas being $3 a gallon earlier... I don't believe we'd be paying that much right now if we had an honest money system... It's the inflation that made gas $3 a gallon in my opinion, which also drove the cost of living up across the boards...
