    Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post my question, but I didn't found a better one.

I would like to know the varieties of british, american, canadian, australian etc. english. Do you know a webside where i can hear people speak all kinds of accents. I'm curious about this.

Didn't the BBC do some project awhile back where they had samples of accents from Yorkshire, Newcastle and loads of other areas in England. I always feel sorry for Spanish student, can you imagin going to London one year and Scotland the next year on an exchange, you'd think they were speaking different languages. Same in Ireland there's are majory differences in accents and even a different vocabulary in some cases. In Donegal the call children 'waynes'. I mean wtf?!?!

Yeah tis alright, especially in the UK and Ireland I think, alot of Aussies and Yanks (well you can tell the Southern States from the Northern ones) all talk the same, or maybe it just seem like that to us over here.

I don't think I really have an accent although the Welsh accent does arise from time to time. Heehee! Although after spending much time in the Oooo Arrrrr Land of the cider land of the West Country my uncle says I'm starting to sound like a Bristolian! Which can't be a bad thing... Arrrrr that gurt lush greeen grrrrrrrrass!

I think that 'isms' go with accents too :) For example, West Country-isms - Arrrr Elllo me loverrrr shall we warrrlk up dat gurt big zommerzet hill and aver a lush zit down?

    Welsh-isms- Ello Butt!

See what I mean if you took away accents 'isms' I don't think accents would be all that individual.

*speaks to self* Stop talking now Loop!

    :p
