I've noticed a lot of very basic astrology questions that seem to reoccur often.

I don't mind answering them, but I also feel like a broken record. I know I'm not the only person here who has at least a good foundation in astrology, so I certainly am not trying to monopolize this area.

I think there are a couple of people here who are proficient in standard modern astrology. I practice traditional astrology and planetary magic, and I know Astroteacher who pops on here also does traditional astrology.

I want to have something on here that's actually informative rather than the typical "My sign is neat" type of threads.

Personally I don't want to get into doing people's charts on here since they take a while, but I think general questions or short-ish interps such as "what is my rising sign" or "what is this" type of thing is fine.

Maybe a Skip or someone can sticky this thread?

I'd just like to know a little about my path/destiny if I have one, I've already figured out my path through other means, but never with Astrology. Astrology seems pretty accurate to me so far, so I'd like to see what Astrology has to say about my path.

Thanks Teach. I don't mind repeating as much as I've noticed many many copies of the same questions over many threads.

Not to rush you or anything, but what's the situation?

    Hi Bl4ck3n3D,

I thought I'd take a look at your chart. You have almost all of your planets above the horizon and on the east side, meaning your focus will largely be on the outer world and dealing with other people. It indicates someone who takes action in the world. Your North Node (which is sometimes considering to be your direction in life or destiny) is on the Midheaven, further emphasizing the idea of your focus in life being on the social world. This could easily manifest in a strong focus on career, but could also just mean you focus on what you need to do in life in order to grow.

The most interesting I noticed about your chart is you have SIX planets in Capricorn. Of the ten main planets used in astrology you have 6 in one sign. Capricorn is a sign that indicates ambition, and strong social orientation, which goes along with themes I was mentioning before. You also have Capricorn's ruler, Saturn, in Capricorn in its native sign.

What's even more interesting about this is you have a trine between Moon and Pluto, the midpoint of which is right in the middle of your Capricorn stellium! So you have Moon and Pluto sextiling Saturn and Mercury. Saturn is the closest to this midpoint, strengthening Saturn. Saturn is also the midpoint of your Mercury and Venus! So you have a very strong Saturn in your chart, and it seems to be the way you deal with most of life. You know the rules of society, and you like them, and use them to your advantage to get ahead in life.

The Moon/Pluto trine is about emotional power, Moon/Saturn is about restricting emotions, and Pluto/Saturn is about difficult or extreme circumstances. These are normally hard energies to combine but you have them flowing very nicely here. This is hard to interpret but its crucial in your chart so I thought I'd give you the symbols yourself. Pluto is strong because it is in its native Scorpio. It is in the 6th house of work. Your moon is in Pisces in 11th house meaning deep emotions, especially regarding friendships or any kind of social circles. This could mean you can use your emotional closeness with friends to cause transformations in your life that result in you achieving your ideal place in the world.

Mercury, the ruler of your Ascendant, is also very close to that Moon/Pluto midpoint, making Mercury almost as strong as your Saturn. All of your personal planets are in Cap., so you probably have a very down to earth, practial, and sometimes controlling method of communicating with others. You might also be a very serious person. You may also have the ability to communicate very practical ways of helping people change themselves or the world.

Your 4th, 5th, and 7th houses are completely empty (Mars is tech. in 7th but close enough to cusp of 8th to be considered to be in the 8th), which are the houses of family, children, and marriage. That doesn't have to mean you won't get married or anything but it can. Just curious, are you close with your family?

You seem to be a very ambitious person who is definitely capable of becoming successful at what you want to as long as you approach your goals in a practical, persistent manner, which you're definitely capable of!

    Take care

Sorry I've been really busy. Charts take me a while. It seems when I do really quick ones, the results aren't very good, so I don't like doing those much anymore. That's why I didn't want to do charts here.

I would like this thread to be more general knowledge questions as opposed to chart analysis. However I don't mind looking at quick info on charts such as what is your ascendant and so on.

Haha, weird you ask that about my family, cause actually, I'm not very close with them at all.

It seems to me that I may become a leader of somekind . And about the rules of society - knowing them and being comfortable with them - I actually think that refers to the rules of the Universe, I have a sense of balance. I do believe my spirit is somewhat experienced, as I have come here to help out others more so than myself.

Sure that makes sense, the "rules of society" could be more appropriately described as the rules of the universe in your situation. Either way, what I was getting at was you understand how things work, and you don't try to change it, instead you utilize it to your advantage. I don't have your chart in front of me, but for you to help others more than yourself, as I recall from your chart your gift is probably your ability to help others understand how they can change themselves

You can do a free chart on Astro.com.

The rising sign is the sign that is in the 9:00 position. In traditional astrology, the ascendant represents you since Sun signs aren't used as character analysis (unless your rising sign is Leo of course!). In mosern astrology, the ascendant represents how others see you, which in traditional would be the 7th house I think since it's opposite the ascendant.

Anyway, the traditional ruling planets are:

    Saturn - Aquarius & Capricorn
    Jupiter - Sagittarius & Pisces
    Mars - Scorpio & Aries
    Sun - Leo
    Venus - Taurus & Libra
    Mercury - Virgo & Gemini
    Moon - Cancer
