shapeshifter, i believe i see where you're coming from. when tripping on an ideal quantity of lsd, your scope of sight is no longer limited to the physical world in which it is generally accepted that we exist. you become very in-tune with the energy of the universe and the connection of humankind to eachother and to all beings, even beings that exist outside of our general knowledge. you might see society as something that is balanced with instinct, something that is working both for us and against us. you see the progress of humanity - the mistakes made, the ammends made, and the ideals and uncertainties. you might see time and wealth as mere tools devised by humans for convenience's sake. you might be able to see that even humankind must evolve someday, like the monkies before us. probably the greatest realizations i have had on acid were that all is one, all is GOD (and i'm talking in a broad sense that encompasses the fundamentals of ALL religion and basic human instinct), and all is beautiful. the universe is a vast expanse of infinite possibilites, and brilliant minds must be cultivated as the hope of humanity. society must have a revolution or evolution of consciousness to progress
i am loving all these thoughts... i was away at earth dance this weekend i sent you all a sonic boom at the link-up time, maybe some of you were on dance floors in your areas... as for being called crazy, or having people not understand what you are talking about, all i can say, with a big happy grin is that happens to me all the time, acid or not!!
LSD is said to lower filters in the brain so that means letting new ideas into your consciousness of course. But does anyone know why it causes hallucinations?
Everything you learn on LSd you already knew... it just brings things to the surface you dont normally think about
I hold the belief that, at the energy level all is completely true. However at the metaphorical level, you can form falsities as turning energy to metaphor requires an aspect of you, the self, to do it. Which inherently the self for every single person is just a jumble of various delusions and hallucinations. It's just that. Some delusions, some hallucinations are agreeable with and integrated into society. So for example, you get a wave of energy, a new feeling of some sort while tripping. This comes out as some creature running around on your floor, or some profound idea. Both of which are metaphors of the energy. The energy is neither the creature, or your profound thought, those are just interpretations of the energy. Which the base energy is always completely real because, it is truly there obviously since you experienced it. But the metaphor you deduce off of it, the creature, your profound thought, is inherently the product of that energy combined with you, so the metaphor is just an illusion by the nature of it. But that doesn't mean the illusion can't have direct pertinence and meaning to your life in a way that actually helps you. It's just that, that metaphor is a concoction of your brain and so it is only for your brain. However there are people with similiar brains that would deduce the same metaphors off the same energies. Which then would deem that metaphor to be 'reality'.
Certainly is enjoyable isn't it... I think there's a sort of helplessness that goes along with it though.
