Anyone here seen it? If so what'd you think? I personally thought it was badass. If you're one of those dumbasses who went to see it then thought it was shitty because you didn't know that it was from the perspective of one small group of people filming the whole ordeal using a digital camera... you're a dumbass. I think it's biggest flaw is also it's strength though. It keeps you wondering which is exactly what good movies are supposed to do. Any thoughts?
I heard it was alright.. Didn't personally watch it because i get very bad motion sickness and the camera angle just kills me with all the running around
I thought it was a great reinvention of the monster movie. I agree with the idea that it's a hybridization of The Blair Witch Project and War of the Worlds. People who don't like it seem to be people who hate being in the dark in movies. Fair warning: the movie tells you nothing about the monster. Get over it. If a monster suddenly attacked your town you wouldn't know anything, and it's this great angle that gives it a big flair of mystery and suspense to go with the thrills.
i just saw the commercial, looks kinda like a cooler version of godzilla, altho prolly nothin like it...
It's seriously like a scarry non-corny version of godzilla. After you realize godzilla is just some gigantic firebreathing lizard, you can laugh off the fact that it's attack a city. It's the same idea that made jeepers creepers 1 terrifying and jeepers creepers 2 lame. 2 was lame because you knew exactly what the monster looked like after the first 20 minutes of the movie, thus "unmasking" it and making it meh.
There's a pretty good bootleg circulating the net. just make sure to llok at user comments to make sure you don't get a shitty torrent (I assume you'll be using torrents)
I saw it today It was alright I felt kind of queasy watching it though during some of the intense camera shaking moments curse my vulnerable body
i actually dont use torrents for movies cuz it taks too long i use the streaming ones (but only if they are decent quality)
i knew what it was going in and thought it was ok. i just couldnt get into it. there were some pretty bad ass parts so id say it was kinda an average movie though. i just didnt care for the camera and it felt like that was just more of a hook than anything. o well to each his own.
i really liked it, it was a movie of certain perceptions you might of never seen in other movies. It was just kind of out there compare to what's out there. I saw it the first night pretty stoned ad i came in late so i had to sit in the front row. oh and some wigger didn't like the ending so right when there is a black screen and silence he goes "hell, no!"
^haha seems like everytime i've been to a movie theatre there is always that one jackass at the end of the movie!
I saw it the other day and it was pretty fukin awesome but it ended WAY to early...it seemed like it was 10 minutes..
Idk bout where you live but here it's about the same to rent as to go to the movies..if not cheaper to go to the movies.
I just saw it tonight, fantastic movie. The sound effects of the movie are really... enthralling. Its just a very chaotic and very exciting movie
I made the mistake of sitting really close to the screen, and I got so sick I had to leave towards the end of the movie to puke. Besides that, it was alright.
it was much better than I expected it to be, I just thought it was going to be all about an alien attacking in some stupid sci fi thing. But they made the charaters very real and the filiming idea was genius!
i wanna see what the monster looks like....cause im sure nothing that important happens in the movie to keep me interested...
