That's how my grandfather's family made it. They bought up tons of land in oklahoma and texas duuring the depression and sold it in 1980. They lived well beneath their income level too. When my great-grandma passed and all of her long-term care was paid her entire estate was worth well over 10 million doallrs-divided between her 8 kids and 25 grand kids and her great grandchildren (including me). I didn't get a lot, but my mom got 100k and my grandparents got a million. My grandparents in San Diego also live well within their means. They buy their cars with cash, have their house paid off and help their family out. My mom owns almost half an acre in North County that she bought during the recesion int he early 90's, she's retiring at 49 this month. She was a single mother who went to college and we lived in low-income housing until I was 9. Now her assets are worth way in the millions, but you would never know it and she always says 'I can't afford this or that'. But what she really means is 'I think this or that is too elaborate and not practical'. I unfortunaley did not get the living within my means gene and spent my inheritance on designer clothes, a condo that I had to sell because I got into debt and designer furniture I ended up having to donate. Andy is helping me get better. He wants to buy a home when we relocate for his work because he thinks the prices will be down by then. Is till buy nice clothes, but stick to the gap and banana republic and sometimes old navy instead of theory and calvin Klien collection. But yeah...I think with his financial sense and encouraging me to clean-up my act we might end up like my grandparents some day. My grandfather had the exact same job Andy has for 20 years.
Yes, get the fuck out ! Have you ever heard the saying "the bigger they are the harder they fall" ?? When this country hit's the shitter, life in this country is going to taste like a massive pus filled infections. My biggest fear is what will happen when the 57,000 pharmacies in this country are unable to supply drugs to this infected population. Get while the gettin's good ! I'll be living in Kelowna Canada three months after I get off probation.
it ain't happened yet, may not get to everybody, and may only take the form of tax relief. we'll see, we'll see. people getting government checks may see something tangable, people filling out tax forms may see something at refund time. last i heard, so far it was only talk. so called stimulus package where a recovery package is needed. so far nobody who was bate and switched on their morgage rate by so called subprime morgages has gotten their foreclosed house back either as far as i know. it IS $650.00 the're talking about though. i's believin what i's seein when i's seein it. =^^= .../\...
We bought a home in AZ in 2004 with one of those 5 year "arms". The other day I was figuring and when that 5 years has passed, we will have paid over 70 thousand dollars in house notes, and it will only have taken approx. 8 thousand dollars off of what we owe. I've never been fucked in the ass, but I would take one for 70 thousand dollars.... and let people watch if they wanted to! That's the problem, the banks are breaking it off in everybody's ass, The "stimilus package" sounds intimidating to me ! Can you imagine the gov. or the financial institution starting to share any kind of "package" that will benefit them less ??? They might pretent to be prolonging the actual birth a little bit longer.... but they are still gonna be breaking dick off in everything they can get their hands on. It's all smoke N mirrors,,, the system is teabagging the people.
just putting it out there, have u guys ever considered NOT relyin on the goverment, and living OFF the grid? therefore if anything crappy should happen in the future you wont be affected as much?? just a lil thought
no the problem is you and others like you choose to make unwise financial decisions for whatever reason.. ive known ARM's,or way back when they were called "balloon" mortgages were unwise for anyone holding a property for more than 2 years since before i was 18. are the banks evil? yes.. however ultimately you are to blame for your financial situation.. you not only chose to go into debt, you chose the most risky loan offered by banks.. once again the solution to all this begins with personal financial responsibility...
when there is 340 million americans walking around hungry, they will be real happy when they find your garden and your root cellar
probably not a very good analogy without some modification since so many derive pleasure in taking it up the ass how about taking it up the ass and the only lubrication you get is when you start to bleed and then you have to lick the shit off the banker's dick when he's done
Yeah because according to them if you make that much money a year, you are rich. Bullshit. I know the actual rich people will benefit from this some how.
Socialist state? A government controlling (or trying to conrol) it's lands economy doesn't make it socialistic.
