Hey guys, ive been thinking about getting a piercing for a good 6 months so im really set on the tongue piercing, mainly cause i have a pretty long tongue. So a few weeks ago i saw this picture of what is called a 'lingum piercing' which is shown in the picture below. My question is would this look good on a dude and would there be much of a problem with rejection and whatnot?
HMMMM that looks pretty cool.i already have a normal tongue piercing and have thought about getting a second one.i wonder if i could have both without a problem
is there anyone out there who has info on this or anything because i wanna know of anything i should look out for because its definate now.
Well since your pic is off Modblog, maybe you should of checked BMEs encyclopedia? http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Lingum_Piercing -The tongue does not need to be entirely transversed in order to pierce it; tongue surface piercings are possible (although they are prone to rejection and migration). Care should be taken to ensure that the jewelry placement does not interfere with the movement of the tongue during speech like a horizontal tongue piercing may. Both perpendicular placements and lengthwise placements are possible, as are piercings through the top surface, the tip, or even the bottom (sometimes known as a Lingum Piercing). -Lingum Piercing - a Local Term (coined by Jon Cobb around 1993) for a surface piercing across the lower surface of the tongue. This placement can be less prone to rejection than other tongue surface piercings. Nearly all horizontal tongue piercings I've come across or known of have either rejected or had problems. They can hamper the movement you have in your tongue but as it says.. piercing the underside may be less prone to rejection.. If its pierced shallowly enough it shouldnt hamper movement too much, but may reject easily then..
