Lighting for single plant

so im looking for a cheap light for growing one or 2 plants. do you think a 150 watt incandecent work?

 

Don't use an incandescent. If you want to stay cheap, use CFLs (compact fluorescent lights). You will want several and they need to be within a few inches of the plants.

Get this book at your local Borders (or whatever the nearby big book store is). It will help a lot:

Dont use them they really dont work. I've grown under fish tank tube lights but they can cost quite a bit n the tubes dont last long. If ya in the uk screw fixs direct do cheap sodium flood lamps for around £50

 

Then even do son sodiums light which hav had the blue boosted n are idea 4 plant growth.
