A day to remember the deaths of millions and celebrate the saving of millions also…
Today, we are asked to remember the day the Belzec death camp was liberated. Despite this tragedy , many other people were saved in other camps that with our country’s help were liberated. It is said in Ken Burns PBS special series The War, a 16 hour documentary of WWII ( this series can be found at the Newport Wa. and other librarys on dvd) that 2 out of every 3 Jews were exterminated in these camps.

While I remain neutral and believe in Peace, I am against the killing of innocent people in any number. I believe that it was necessary for America to enter that war to help the British and Russia stop the Nazi’s and their evil plan. This war we are engaged in now is in no way close to that of WWII but I have heard some try to compare the two. I have heard people try to compare the bombing of the trade buildings to the Pearl Harbor attack by the Japanese on December 7, 1941 though there is no comparison there at all. The attack in New York was the plan of just a few and carried out by a small handful of violent people. We should have never become entangled in this war but thanks to our Government, through the decades of dirty dealings we have.

My step father, his mother and his step father I remember all wore the tattooed id numbers from the death camps they survived and I post this in their memory and the memory of the millions of others that died for no other reason other than plain hate. I also post this in memory to the millions that found a way to survive these camps to carry on and tell the stories so that we may never forget what happened and never let it happen again.

The Ken Burns documentary states that 1000 WWII veterans pass away every day and soon there will not be any left to tell the story other than history books and documentaries such as The War. As graphic as it is I think every junior high and high school student needs to see this documentary. Many people today have no clue as to the history of this conflict and think that the war in Europe and the Pacific happened at separate times.

There are 2 short films worth watching today and here are the links http://youtube.com/watch?v=H5AHEZTHHW4 and http://youtube.com/watch?v=zZihm6VlYjo . Peace and love to all. Tokin

    Yawn.

Tell us how jews were behind the holocaust Rat, maybe give us links to rense.com where we can read about "the mysterious, eternal allure of Adolf Hitler". And then tell us how none of that makes you anti semetic.
