Haha I used to watch that show and watched the song not that long ago on youtube. Funny.

 

Oh man, I loved that show! I was searching for old episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark the other day online too, and I have found a few, but haven't watched them yet. I miss the old days of NICK so badly. Especially SNICK!

Wait, Americans watched Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Wow. That has to be our first kids' television show to successfully make it as a hit South of the border. I'm surprised.

 

One summer, the kids in my neighbourhood would meet each Friday to have a campfire in my backyard. We would tell scary stories to each other. Some of us waited all week to tell about a story that we made up, or a movie that we had seen, a tale we had read, or something that we heard. We scared each other to death with our campfire stories, and it was all because of Are You Afraid of the Dark? My neighbours and siblings still look back on it and remember how much fun it was.

Hahaha. Also, each year for Lent I would give up watching TV, so I have a few tapes full of Are You Afraid of the Dark? episodes.

 

I watched the whole tape last night, it was awesome. I got chill bumps just watching those shows. It made me feel like a kid again.

I ordered the first season of the adventures of pete and pete from amazon. Hell yeah.

 

I too miss all of those old shows. Did not know that are you afraid of the dark was Canadian though. If I had to pick one to have come from Canada, it would have been All That.

 

I loved AYAOTD and Pete and Pete. I wasn't sure how to feel at first when Clarissa Explains it All was replased by Alex Mack, but I actually like AM ALOOOOT better.

 

Oh, those kids were Canadian. I always thought something was off on that show.

 

My ex-girlfriend was a spitting image of AM when we were growing up. Now she is just a blonde bombshell.

 

This thread makes me feel old.

 

Alex Mack was unbearably hot as I remembered it. Saw pictures of her back in the day.

She was a little old for my taste in those pics now, but still pretty nice.

 

Spence, do you remember on the first episode of AM when she was first doused in the chemicals and came home and was naked behind a...I don't know, barrel or something, because her clothes were totally soaked in the green goo?

 

I remember that episode! Though not for the same reasons you do, I'm sure.

Now when I look at pictures of her, all I can think of is Alex Mack and that girl she played in 10 Things I Hate About You.
