Many religions have he rule of if you kill yourself you won't go to heaven or something along those lines. It can be argued over and over and we'll never know. But do you think that if one committed suicide they would suffer in the afterlife? I for one, am not really on board with the other people who say this is our life, and when we die, that's where we spend eternity. I feel this world is merely a learning experience for something greater in the next world, and THEN, we may be forced to choose where we spend eternity, but we will atleast have the knowledge of what exactly we are choosing, rather than just a shot in the dark here on earth. I wouldn't think one would suffer for it, but I mean, it is killing your own person, and that seems to me like it would be some kind of imperative rule we can't break. Thoughts?
I think criminally charging someone for suicide is dumb, but in an after life sense no because I believe what you see is life and there is nothing more or nothing less to it.
India use to have a 1year jail sentence for attempted suicide, it went out in '94 though. Singapore still has a one year sentence, and prior to 1961 England had prison imposing sentences for suicide. Its not to common now, but I just think the whole idea of it is dumb, regardless if it is mass practised.
back in the day if people knew you had committed suicide they would re dig up your body and chop off your head if it wasnt chopped off yet
