Man I love Darvocet (went to the doctor today)

I went with just the intention of trying to get a note for Sunday off...turns out I have strep throat and ear infections and the beginings of pneumonia...so I get a lot of time off lol.
Also, my doctor doesn't think my strep is going to clear up on it's own and thinks the root of my reoccuring strep is because I have huge tonsils. So he wants to take my tonsils out...
talk about time off of work! All I wanted was a day off and I got darvocet and almost a week off!

I remember (unfortunately) when I had mono, I had humongous tonsils (like plague, almost) and the most terrible sore throat ever (in fact since then.. never got a sore throat again.. or if I have, it's so not painful compared to what I went through during mono that I haven't even noticed) and what worked best for the pain (aside from morphine I was put on, they don't joke with pain in France) was hot milk with honey and hot chicken soup.. like not with actual chicken but the cube you throw in the water, with alphabet letters pasta.

 

I forgot: in the hot milk and honey, also this spice.. I forget what.. curcuma or something? I know weird.. but.. effective

 

is is nothing compared to mono. I thinkt hat is why I let it go on so long because my mono was sooooo painful that all other illnesses seem insignificant

 

totally agree.. since then all the shit I caught - even a light flu - seemed like nothing

 

Gargle hot salty water to soothe your throat if you want to save the darvocet for recreational use later on.

i'm moving to france. and it's scientifically proven that chicken soup really does help you recover from illness faster. i imagine it's because it's a perfect food (protein, fat, vitamins, easy on the stomach) AND has loads of salt that helps you stay hydrated.

I am, whenever I take a pill Andy's like which one is that, haven't you had x amount and if I feel like I really need it I take it and he doesn't give me shit, but if he's right I put it back. I have sooo many pills right now-my two dailys, xanax, antibitoics and darvocet I feel like a freaking mental patient lol. Last night I was so fucked up I put all my pills in this leather pouch thing that the bottle of rum Andy got me from Key West came in.

If you keep having recurring strep, it may be because your dog is giving to you. Streptococcus can live in a dog's mouth and throat. Yes, they get sore throat's too. Have a look in pooch's mouth and check its throat for redness. If it looks sore, take him/her to the vet.
