I'm a cab driver. I use the cab to do my shopping and errands. When I'm not working I walk most places. Once in awhile I will rent a nice ride for long trips out of town.
little people sized very narrow gauge multiple unit 'trians', just big enough to sit inside of, and some, even smaller, just big enough to sit on. more fun the teleporting cause you get to see the scenery. if you're in a hurry, sure teleport, but if you wan't to enjoy the ride, and feel like sitting and riding instead of walking only, this is the way to go. of course you can walk in the gardens, and sit on the nice convenient flat stones, just the right shape and hight to sit on. that's great for meditating. in the gardens or in the forest, but sometimes, in the post petrolium, post car worshipping age, you just want to take an easy day ride. like when you're out of inspiration at the moment as to what you'd like to create. nothing like winding through the forest and gardens on narrow rails winding through them, or mini-mono's above them to avoid interfering with other creatures wandering through. you really can't appreciate all that nature gives you in the arrogance of a noisy, rapidly moving personal vehicule the way you can on a nearly silent little people sized train. the next best thing to walking, only better without the sore feet. =^^= .../\...
Well if i could fly without airplanes then i would get around like that but for now i like getting around by either walking or by car.
Every once in awhile I will have a very convincing and exciting dream that I can fly under my own power and that it is purely a matter of balancing one's self in just the right way somehow; tilting at just the right angle, like employing gravity but not quite falling forward, riding a gravitational field the way birds ride thermals to hover in the air. I will awake with the lingering sense that this concept is quite real and not just a dream. Then it fades away gradually.
I think teleporting would be the most civilized. Moving footpaths are too unpredictable, most times you think they are moving but they are not.
i walk just about everywhere. i live in the middle of a downtown area so everything is really accessible walking/bicycle wise.
i would have to say walking or hippie van oh little boy you know i could love you, but first i must make my get away!
my vote would have gone to the subway (I like people-watching) but that's not an option so definitely walking for me
i DO a LOT of walking, but i'm really disappointed guideway based public transportation of some kind isn't on that list. if i'd made it up, different kinds of it would be most of the choices. and there ARE a LOT of different forms for it to take. someday, maybe soon, when the oil 'runs out', everyone is going to be a lot more familiar with all, or at least many more then now, of them. or want to be. human powered personal vehicules are alright in relatively flat countryside, but personally relatively flat countryside, isn't where i'd prefer to live. =^^= .../\...
car.. it's awesome to toke up, listen to awesome music, roll the windows down, and just drive letting the wind hit your face.. very relaxing
