Thought I'd post this ... I've been reading for years that passionflower is supposed to be sort of calming and tranquilizing, so this past summer I saved some vines and leaves from the passionflower growing wild around our blackberry bushes. The past few evenings I've been making tea with a tablespoon of dried passionflower leaf and a tablespoon of dried mint, plus a bit of sugar. It has a pleasant, very moderate, not extremely noticeable, effect, drinking it, it just makes you feel very CALM. Then go to sleep like a rock.

I once made passionflower tea with an ounce of dried material to potentate weak 'shrooms I had. It worked and then some.

I have passionflower pills as well. 350mg each made from the aerial parts of the plant. 3 of them makes me feel noticeably calmer and lowers my blood pressure a bit while on amphetamine. It's nice.
