Yeah IP is pretty much the only area of law that I can see myself going into at the minute. I really enjoyed crime last year but I dont think its something I could spend my life doing. Selling out to the man by joining the Prosecution Service, or being a defence lawyer and not being able to sleep at night, having just found a loophole to get someone who blatently did it off the hook.. neither of those sit particularly well with me. Also theres a new Government scheme to reshuffle the way defence lawyers can work, basically cutting the funding going into it. Not good either lol.

Anyway you seem to know your stuff..?

Not really, both my Wife and I are designers and every now and then we get ripped off.

There is little we can do about it, we just have to write it off and get on with our lives.

I have spoken to local solicitors but they no little of IP and say I have to seek a specialist.

Meanwhile you lose more money worrying about it so you just have to bite the bullit and get back to making money.

I do wish you luck with your chosen career and I hope you stick to your guns and follow the path that makes you happy.

i'm an architect with dreads and a nose peircing and i get companies fighting for me. one said i stood out and they remembered me. they said i was obviously a brave, confident person to be able to have dreads.

also, bit of a debate this one, but would you really want to work for someone who judges you on your hair style and not on you? that obviously only applies when you can pick and choose.

i say go for it, if you have a personality that wins them, the dreads will just help them remember which one had the nice personality.

at the end of the day it all depends on what type of job you go for. if its as a tatoo artist it may even help!
