what can i make a long lasting downstem out of?
like nothing with foil or plastic i dunno
im getting ready to go to michaels

 

Try using a trumpet mouthpeice, I've done it before.

^hah, I know, it works like a godsend. The downstem and the bowl are basically to the specifications for a bong, and it you glue on an o-ring to the bong you can make a nice slide. granted, if one does use a trumpet mouthpeice as a bong, thereafter you have to fight the temptation to not use it afterwards to play music. I had a lot of resin stuck to my lips after that...
