I need to add a bit of myself to my work outfits! But I have to wear black pants (capris and shorts are ok when it's warm), clunky shoes (heavy w/ no heel), and a plain top (no logos, pictures, etc). I'm getting tired of having to spend 6 hours a day not looking like myself. Do you have any suggestions?
tie a pretty and vibrant scarf around your neck to accentuate the plain top. Wear some earrings tie a scarf around your head like a headband wear cool looking socks that make you feel fine. wear a neat hair-tye or hair clip home-made ankle bracelet above the clunky shoe a beautiful belt. a decorated pin on the shirt funky buttons you painted yourself I don't know what you like. I have the same trouble with work outfits myself, so I've thought about this topic on and off. Love!
At my last workplace I had to wear a lot of black too (and it's depressing I know) I used to brighten up my outfit with a large bold necklace which made quite a diffrence
Whenever i (need to) wear black i use very colorful accesoires, like earrings, headband, and more i can't translate
i agree that jewelry is helpful--i usually add beaded necklaces, or a big stone pendant. what about your hair? i love funky baretts. or clips. you can make them yourself from plain metal ones with hot glue and beads, or hemp. work clothes suck
I use to have to wear black pants and a white button up at my old job. I use to wear this awesome seventies floral print tie.... or this awesome beautiful butterfly broach. And always bracelets and rings I use to wear my dreads in pig tails or in a bright scarf.... scarves can be your best friend in the work field.
that's what I do. Usually my rose quartz of my sand lizard. I have my favorite pair of earrings, my peace symbol ring, and my patchoulli oil.
