I was told we would start getting snow around 1am and its almost 6am and not a speck. How the hell are we going to get 8" today if there is no snow. What an easy job they have.

I want it to be made law that all weathermen have to become naked weather women, that when I will feel fine being lied to and I will even like it! :D

We were supposed to get snow here too yesterday, but only ended up with a dusting which melted fairly quick.

But the cool thing was my oldest ended up not having school because the power lines were knocked out for nearly 6 hours. It was dang cold in the house though until that heat kicked back on. But I lit a bunch of candles thrughout the house so we could see, even toasted the kids' Pop Tarts over the flame. *laughs*

Needless to say, I think the kids and I actually enjoyed the power outage (hubby was at work, they had power where he was), made us stop and think just how much we take for granted on a daily basis when it comes to being able to flip on a switch. But man, I must say, I was pretty relieved when it finally came back on, because I was freezing my butt off! [IMG]

I am set if the power goes out here. Propane heater, candles, oil lamps, ect

Thats cool, toasting pop tarts, have not tried that one, your inventive for sure!

Was a good little bonding day it sounded like for ya all! Too bad hubby had to work but I am sure he enjoyed his lights and such minus the work loads.

Yeah, the power went out because of the intense wind storm we had. Knocked trees into power lines. There were quite a few schools off. I think they said 20,000 homes/businesses were without power.

My poor hubby was trying to get hold of me to tell me that Ky didn't have school, but all of our phones are cordless, bases plugged into the power lines, so we had no phones either. And I haven't had a cell for a long time now! So he got hold of his brother who also had his power out, but he was able to reach him on his cell, asked him if he could come over to our house on his way to work and let me know that I didn't need to take Ky to school.

Well I ended up just missing him, we left before he got there. I went up to the school and not a soul was in sight. Ky was bouncing in his seat so high I'd have thought he was going to blast off into orbit. [IMG]

We got snow last night, lol. But it was just like a quarter of an inch, not very much at all. My idiot neighbors are driving around in it like they're doing something impressive. Not much more impressive than driving down a normal street, dumbasses.
