Overdosing on prescription medication.

hi all
i'm trying to gather some info on what medications can be fatal in high doses. if anyone can provide me with info such as:

-Brand name
-Active ingredient/drug name
-Fatal dosage e.g mlg, grams

Also any links to sites with info would be helpful, cheers!

as far as that gos why would you believe what was posted here?
there is a wealth of information put out by the pharmacutical companies themselves all over the ineternet.

erowid.org is always a good place to look. too much of anything is fatal. do you really want to know how much of every medication available you'd have to take to die? that would be a LOT of very boring information to look at.

pretty much any medication can be fatal in a high enuff dose or if its mixed with another substance it should not be mixed with. Why in the world would you want to know this anyways. Do you plan on trying to get high on 1000 Tylenol or something ???

 

It's different for everyone. If you read that 500 mg is a fatal dose of a miscellaneous chemical, that does NOT mean 450 would be a good idea. When your tryin a new chemical see what the general amount of dangerous amounts would be, and start off with SIGNIFICANTLY less of an amount than that number.

 

This sounds more like "What pills to take to commit suicide" thread....

haha hippiehillbilly you're right man it is lazy, and no it isn't a suicide thread either. the thing is i've never taken prescription medication as a means of getting high or whatever so i really have no idea where to start. the reason i wanted to know this info is simple to know what the limits are with certain drugs. even if i was going to deliberately OD what business is it of anyone on these forums. anyway i'd still like people with info to post here.

Dude your not being clear at all what type of Meds are you talking about ? Opiates,Benzo's,amphetamines,Sedatives,etc there are tons of prescription meds out there you can get high on you are not saying what one you want to know about ????

 

be like deadly careful with fentanyl (i.e. duragesic patches). Oxycontins can be dangerous too if you aren't careful.

 

really just any kind of medication that a doctor would prescribe you for any kind of condition or whatever. like i said man i don't know much about this shit but i guess anti depressants and anti-anxiety pills or benzos i think is the slang term.

Come on man get real no one is going to give you the info on every dam med out there that can get you high. Post back when you have a dam question about a certain drug. I can't believe you would expect someone to answer this for you !!! UNREAL SHIT

 

it's gonna depend on your tolerance, size, and gender, as well as the drug itself. i think one of the responsibilities people who exercize the priviledge to post on here have is harm prevention when they can. But no one is going to teach you how to properly raid a medicine cabinet. BTW trying to get high off anti deppressants is about as useless and stupid as beating off with a condom on. You're not giving anyone anything to work with except the fact you're lazy. Check out erowid. it's pretty user friendly (no pun intended).

 

Benzos (xanax, ativan, etc..) and strong opiates(oxycotin, methadone, demerol, etc..) are a really deadly combo, I know a few people that have ODed this way. Slows your heartbeat down to much.
