    Speaking as someone who was mortally obease weighing in at 140 4' 8" in 5th grade and lost weight, i can tell you that what you are doing is retarted. Its not safe, and you will not keep the weight off. You should never loose more than a pound a week absolute max. what your doing is not healthy. your depriving your body. Thats not the way weight is lost.

    I can't think of a better way of ensuring that a crack reference shows up in more of your threads.

    Well I know how crack affects people. I've never done it, but I've been extremely close to people who do or used to. And I've seen both sides. My mom's best friend's daughter is a 40 year old crack head, and has been for most of her adult life. She's definitely over weight too, and so is her boyfriend.

    Someone from my past, who I will not say who smoked crack for 15 years. He weighed 400 pounds at one point in his life, and had the gastric bypass. He lost all of the weight from the surgery and not eating and smoking crack.

    I also know people who are crack addicts who smoke daily, and drink daily who are of average weight.

    Don't get the wrong impression of me. Crack is a disgusting, vile, nasty drug, and I don't think very highly of it's users. Just like I don't think highly of meth and heroin users either. It's just that I live in an area of CT where crack and coke and heroin are pretty prevalent. I used to work at this gas station and would see many of the same customers every day. Then when I started getting involved with coke I started to see all of those customers in the same drug houses and places, and their names would come up all the time. I had NO IDEA how widespread the problem was. Anyone can be a drug addict, and you wouldn't even know it.

    Anyway I know you're not smoking crack, and I know that's not how you lost weight. I guess I just wanted to share my knowledge about it lol.

    I went on this diet once called the 7 day vegetable soup diet, and made a ton of soup. I hated it though. It was way too acidic, and I would be hungry like 5 minutes after eating it so I stopped eating it and just followed the eating plan. Like on day one all you eat is fruit and soup. Day two just vegetables and soup. Then day 3 is fruit and vegetables and soup. Then you could have a potato and vegetables, but no fruit. It went on like that for 7 days, and I was also exercising. I probably lost like 15 pounds in those 7 days, but as soon as I started eating normal again I gained it all back plus a few pounds!

    The best thing to do is to just eat healthy, drink lot's of water, take daily vitamins, and exercise! That's all you can do really to promote healthy weight loss and to keep it off.

    That's all I'll say on the subject since I've written an entirely long post, and most of you probably won't bother reading it lol.

    haha I sold crack for 3 months and was in detroit bitch I know what I saw
    You gave none of us any advice that we didnt know. In fact to lose more weight 3 meals a day would maybe work out better. Stop bragging so much.

    yes that is key. To burn more than you take in.. Otherwise you'll either stay the same or gain. My sister eats whatever she wants, drinks soda, and goes to the gym a couple times a week. She's maintaining. Not gaining or losing.

    I drink only water, but tend to indulge in alcholic beverages in the evenings a few nights a week. Chase a toddler around all day, and eat healthy during the day, but usually over eat at dinner time. I've been pretty much maintaing my weight for a long time too. I need to start burning calories. I want a gym membership, but it's so expensive.

    Yeah- especially if you stiff your dealer and have to do alot of running to get away from the thugs who he sends to break your legs.

    Doctors have been proving that proper diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight for years, I don't know why so many people go for the fad diets instead. There are two ways to lose weight, by being sick or by being healthy. Most fad diets take the sick route. It's when you're half way in between that you gain weight.

    One reason that starvation diets don't work and you gain more weight after you quit them is due to the hibernation effect. A bear will pack on pounds so they can live off of it when they hibernate, it's the hibernation that teaches their bodies to pack on the pounds. Therefore whenever you feel hungry your body will want to save part of its next meal as fat for the next time you feel hungry. So eating 5 small meals per day is better than one big one because there's less reason for having a fat reserve.

    So far this may sound simple, but there's a little more to it than that. We all know the difference between being hungry and thirsty, but there's more to the hungry part than just one kind of food. This is the reason they came up with the four main food groups, you must satisfy all four food groups to prevent the hunger that will trigger the weight gain. Eating more meat won't satisfy your need for vegetables, and eating more vegetables won't satisfy your need for protein. Eating an unbalanced diet like you find at fast food restaurants cause you to gain weight, not as much due to the fat content as due to the insufficient quantities of the other food groups. Because you're lacking in the vegetables group and giving it fat instead, it has more fat to store. But if you were to eat enough vegetables and the other food groups to satisfy your overall requirements then your body would pass through the excess fat you just ate instead of saving it for later. Sometimes simply eating an apple with that burger and fries is all you need, the couple slices of pickle and a piece of lettuce just isn't enough. This means you can actually lose weight by eating more, it's just a matter of making sure your body gets everything it requires. And every "body" has different requirements depending on sex, age, body type (genes), lifestyle, etc. So a diet that works for you won't work for everyone. But the basic concept still holds true for everyone.

    This is also very important: Jack Lalanne, a well known exercise and nutritional expert, was quoted as saying "If man made it, don't eat it". If you look at the ingredients on the package and it lists all kinds of weird chemicals and things you have no idea what they are, then don't eat it. Stick with natural foods and even avoid things like high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated vegetable oils.

    And remember to exercise. The reason for the exercise is so that your body gets used to burning the calories that it takes in. You don't need to be a body builder or some other type of exercise junkie, just as long as you get active. If I sat in front of the TV all day I wouldn't need to eat very much food, but if I helped somebody move and spent the entire day loading and unloading trucks then I could eat four times as much. The reason for exercising isn't just to build muscle, the point is to train your body to be able to process more food on a daily basis. By building your metabolism, you will burn more calories even when you're at rest.



    I know that what I'm posting has all been said repeatedly many times before by most doctors, and it's free for everyone willing to take the advice, it's just that the truth doesn't sell books by promising some instant weight loss. Most people don't like to exercise, and some of those feel that working up a sweat is disgusting, but we are all animals that evolved on this planet and we have to abide by natures laws. It's those that think that man's knowledge is above nature that believe there are shortcuts to health and weight loss. Don't be one of the lazy gullible people looking for a miracle cure, they will only hurt you in the end.

    lol who thinks sweat is disgusting? i mean i love strain sweat, but not heat sweat ( you know hot summer day, you go out and in 5min feel soaked). anyway its not discusting at all, i wonder if ppl like that find sex or the toilet discusting also =o

    WOW, you love strained sweat? I've never heard of running sweat through a strainer before.

    lol, I knew what you meant, I just like to play with words. ;)

    Those that don't like to sweat usually have their noses way up in the air, (and their heads up their asses) and think their shit doesn't stink. They like to give the impression they don't go to the bathroom. You normally find them bragging about how expensive their clothes are. They also don't like to get their hands dirty, they would rather pay a lawn service to cut a 50 foot square patch of grass in front of their house rather than doing it themselves. I easily find them more discusting than sweat.

    eating 5 meals a day helps to loose weight, try for 5-6 400 calorie meals per day, eat a meal every 2-3 hours, it speeds up your metabolism... and just eat fiberous veggies and lean meats, oatmeal is good aswell.

    also make sure every meal is a complete meal (both protein and carbs.)
