Yeah me too. I'm writing a script there also. It's gonna be a scathing commentary on the caste system in the midst of a love story between a brahmin and an untouchable. [IMG]

Ehh.. this is so difficult. I've always wanted to go to Kenya. I want to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and look at all of Africa below me, swim in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Mombasa, spend days and days in Nairobi teaching children, and learn Swahili in Kisumu.

Eventually I am going to go to France, and do a good tour of Europe. But Kenya is my dream destination.

Ask your advisor about the mango industry in India. The mango is the banana in Eastern Asia.

I had a GF who went to Saint Andrews. factoid: in the 1500s they outlawed golf in scotland because it took the place of archery which was a sport of nat'l security

If you are coming for the opium culture, you are severely mis-informed.

Go to Laos or Burma for that.

Yeah, I've only spent a day there, just over the border. Even crossing the border was trippy. On the Thai side was a regular marketed dusty street, on the other, a huge market with illlegal porn vendors, dodgy guys with baskets of viagra/clarins, huge stalls full of animal relics/tobacco/whisky. The streets were lined with beggars trying to eke a living from the mainly Thai tourists who went there to shop.
I really do want to go back and spend some time there, but the current political atmosphere coupled with a serious lack of funds at the moment are curbing my ambitions.
I've met a few Burmese people since I've been here, including a couple of ethnic Mons. Their stories would make you shiver.

Trust me. Sweet sticky rice tastes more like a pudding than rice. It's great.

I'm mangoless at the moment. As almost 95% of the fruit sold here is produced locally and it's the middle of winter, I'm surviving on only oranges and tamarinds.

    I can't wait for summer.

That is reaLLY a shame. Utah is one of the most beautiful places i have ever been, and I've been to south america and all but 4 continental US states. Southern Utah is exceptionally gorgeous- Zion national park, canyonlands, bryce canyon, etc. You're really missing out if you cross it off your list.

My #1 right now is probably Nepal. But I would love to go back to SA and see Peru and Patagonia.

My #1 destination is probably the US/Canada or back to Thailand.
But I'll be going to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia from June to about November, then I'm off to Canada if I can get a working visa. I want to go everywhere though. South America and the Caribbean are big on my list, along with a lot of other places.

I'd go anywhere really. At the moment though, I really wanna go hiking up in Scotland which is what we're gonna do when it gets a bit warmer outside. Not very exotic but still good fun I'm sure.
