ron paul? , and i think some of the dems( but they dont know how to lead ) hillary just broke down and cried after losing one state, you think she can make it as president?
^your right who would want some one with emotion to run the country? i also really hope that iraq hussien osama doesnt get elected either. on real time with bill maher kucinich said hed decriminalize it so he would have my vote if i could, and obama's smoked it before so he cant be to hard on stoners. o btw any "dem" or "lib" would be better than a republican with the exception of ron paul, but he has to many extremist positions for the republicans to nominate him. i think he'll probably run as an independent though.
Ron Paul is the only candidate who staunchly supports the decriminalization of marijuana, and all drugs for that matter.
thats how i got into ron paul because there was this interview with him on norml.org talking about marijuana legalization dennis kucinich and mike gravel support legalization, gravel says that it should be sold at alcohol stores. i know obama and hillary said they would stop federal raids on dispensaries. None of the Republicans except for ron paul for president support anything to any degree of legalization and they would keep on raiding dispensaries. this is a useful thing for this issue - http://granitestaters.com/candidates/
no one who's serious about liberalizing drug policy in the US will put outright legalization in their platform...because they could never win the election.
^yah but u can look for subtle ways like being for legalization of hemp and medicinal marijuana or being in favor of three strike laws.
Out of the candidates that have a chance. Barack. He has admittedly inhaled on many occasions, supports medical marijuana when prescribed by a doctor and has stated that he supports decriminalization.
Is Mike Gravel still in the running? I know Kucinich dropped out. Mike went on CSPAN and said he'd legalize weed and put it in liquor stores, but this won't do much good if he's dropped out.
He flaked out during the debate though. Doesn't say a lot about his strength on the issue. http://www.washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080131/NATION/896961936/1001
