I've had enough of this thread." fyi: since the thread was locked, and people obviously cant speak their mind on hipforums.com. ill have you know, 23 is my number of posts, im the same age as you buddy. i possess a degree in science, just short of possessing a 2nd degree, and within 1 year i will also have my MD. my life didnt just start 5 years ago. about the "yet you still come here" part, ive only been coming to this part of the boards for a few days, whats your point? whatever im done though.
Good points. Sorry to have mistaken your age. I left that thread open for about a week, despite how offensive it might have been to those of us who spend our time correcting misinformation on this board. I thought a week was long enough to discuss the subject. It seemed to have run it's course. You'll notice that I'll leave this thread open for a while as well too. I hope you feel free to speak your mind... ...and I hope you don't stop using this portion of Hip Forums. Again, if you give it time, you'll see that misinformation is almost always corrected. As I do just about every day, I am about to read every single post in the Psychedelics forums. I will respond to any misinformation that I find, and try to lead others down the correct path. Thanks for the heads up.
Salmon4me, you are oftentimes a source of misinformation yourself, namely in the mushroom forum. Mephime brings up a good point: the validity of the information on this forum is lacking compared to that on other forums with similar themes. I think that it is more insulting to the people who spread reliable information and stifling to intellectual discourse for you to lock threads when people point out glaringly obvious problems regarding the information shared through this forum. Certainly, internet forums in general are not reliable sources, but the quality of information regarding psychedelics is of much greater quality on other forums (e.g. shroomery). Albeit, I frequent the mushroom subforum more than the others, but I've also gotten the impression that they are of a similar quality. Isn't it in the best interest of the users of this site to have reliable, valid information? Has anyone actually come forth either openly or privately claiming to be insulted by what people have said about this subject? Does the misinformation on this board "almost always" gets cleared up? Maybe this is none of my business, but hipforums obviously is a business, and it's only going to get so far with a bunch of crap information from kids who overheard it on the school bus. Mephime seems like he would be a pretty valuable contributor to the psychedelics forum if you don't drive him off, and I agree with what he's said in this thread and the other thread. Am I old enough for my opinion to count?
