While Kerry is not the Ideal candidate, he is the only one that has a chance to beat Bush, and Kerry isnt part of a dynasty that has thrown our nation into turmoil. I will vote Kerry.

I agree Duck. Voting is the best form of protest. At least it is a move in the right direction.

I've been around for a long time and have seen alot of this world, and had heard a lot of shit excuses from politicians.Bush is the absolute worst in my lifetime.I am not a big fan of Kerry, but given the choice,I choose him.He hasn't "flip flopped" any more or worse then bushit. His service in vietnam means a lot to me as well, having served 21 months there myself.Bushit and the ilk he surrounds himself with are selfserving chickenhawks who cower like children afraid of a thunderstorm. That is no means all the reasons I will vote for Kerry, just the ones I care to present at this moment.Peace, try it.

Kerry's record on vietnam is what bugs me the most. He served honorably, no doubt, but what he did afterwards was disgusting. Ontop of that, he had the nerve to stand on tv today and say that he knows how important it is for troops to have the spport(of the country and the world). This coming from a man who helped turn a country against its troops.

It took courage to join the vietnam veterans against the war.AND for the record, what he did DID NOT TURN THE COUNTRY AGAINST THE TROOPS ! He turned the country AGAINST THE WAR.There is a big difference.Supporting the troops and supporting a war are two different things entirely.

I agree I think he was one of good guys, he was in vietnam and knew how bad it was and how futile it was. So, when he came back he worked against the war. Most people when they say they are against the war arent against the soldiers, in fact its supporting the troops to be against the war not for it! Being against the war means you want the soldiers to return home safe if they arent able to win against an invisible enemy.

You all act like this is a real choice. I don't see much difference between Kerry or Bush. They both are wealthy politicians who will say whatever they think that we want to hear in order to get elected. Then they'll do what ever they want.

Sorry, but all that I care about is what they'll do for me. From what I can gather from watching CNBC, Wall Street is behind Bush. That's enough for me. And I don't want to argue about the economy here. The economy and the deficits are the way they are because of 9/11 not because of Bush.

Bush is missing the boat on stem cell research though. All that policy is going to do is to allow another country's pharmy company to come up with the big breakthroughs, while America lags behind. Definitely a bad move.

Yes I know,I was one of those that got spit on.Chicago's O'Hara airport Dec,1970.On my way home from my first tour,in time for xmas as a matter of fact.We as soldiers fought the war,we did not start it.There in lies the difference. The ones who spit on me,blamed me for the war.Although they were against the war, they tried to take it out on me.They should have,if they were really enlightened enough to know, should have directed that hatred towards those who perpetuated the war.JUST LIKE NOW!! Show your support for our troops by bringing them home, stop cutting veterans medical benefits, etc.

A lot of hippies protested the war in Vietnam and helped to end it. That is not "selling out the troops", that is saving their lives. God bless John Kerry.

Bush sold out America to Haliburton oil.

    This is the big flip/flop:

to ultimate way to support our troops is to bring them home. people who are protecting the war typically seem to feel this way. i support the lives of the men and women over their in our troops, but not this "war."

bush got us into this mess while many people all over the world disagreed. to vote bush is like helping sign the death certificates for more brothers and sister, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, friends, lovers....

So, what is John Kerry going to do to end this disaster? Where is his magic plan, aside from the half-baked notion that the UN will save us.

Death certificates are going to continue regardless if Bush or Kerry wins -- understand that.

Delivering remarks at New York University, John Kerry said the president’s wrong choices in Iraq have made America less secure and undermined our efforts in the war on terror. Kerry emphasized that the world is a more dangerous place today because the president was wrong in the way he prepared for and waged war in Iraq, and he outlined the steps we must take now to make America stronger and safer in the world.

“We must have a great national debate on Iraq,” Kerry said. “The president claims it is the centerpiece of his war on terror. I believe that Iraq was a profound diversion from that war and the battle against our greatest enemy, Osama bin Laden and the terrorists. The question for this campaign… and for the American people… is whether the President has handled Iraq in a way that has made us stronger or weaker…safer or less secure.”

Kerry stressed that it is not too late to change course in Iraq and turn things around.
“Despite all that has gone wrong, I believe we can still achieve our vital national interests in Iraq. We have to start by recognizing what is – and what is not – happening. And we must act with urgency.”

In his remarks, Kerry laid out the steps we must now take. First, the president must secure international support. Second, we must commit to a serious effort to train Iraqi security forces. Third, we must carry out a reconstruction plan that brings benefits to the Iraqi people, and fourth, we must take the necessary steps to hold elections next year.

In closing, Kerry reminded his audience that for all of the president’s wrong choices, the choice now rests with the voters of America. “If you share my conviction that we can not go on as we are …that we can make America stronger and safer than it is… then November 2 is your chance to speak... and to be heard. It’s not too late to change course. We can still get this right.”

All Bush seems concerned with is pumping oil out.
