A friend of a friend I know once went on this three day buddhist retreat type thing where you stayed in the place and couldn't talk the whole time. It was free (or donation-based) and he had said it was such an englightening experience.

I've been searching and doing research and can't seem to find any neat buddhist retreats like this anywhere! Does anyone know of anything similar to this kind of thing in California (preferably southern)? If anyone can give me a website or guide me in the right direction on this subject, please respond!

    Thank you so much!!

i recently went to Cambodia, where Buddhism is the mainstream religion and i was lucky enough to be able to meditate with monks. After meditating for half an hour, i started to become restless i then realised how ONE these special people were, years and years of meditation pay of, i use Buddhist style of meditation and it has a profound impact on my life.
