I fuckin hate accounting sometimes. I mean, I usually do good with it, but sometimes it is so frustrating. One little mistake can fuck up your entire week. Thank God I didn't go into this for a living, but still, I have to do enough of it as it is. Kill me please. :(

whath about it do you find so frustrating?
hav eyou thought of picking up a basic accounting book (ie a used one from the universitys bookstore, old edition or some shit) that might help clarify stuff? you could probably get a used one for under 50 that still has the required basic rules (GAAP) n such

"Having" to deal with the numbers is the problem... its frustrating when your the one doin all the labor and after that doin all the paperwork and balancing the budget....

But being able to manage all that does point to a bright future ;)

Trust me, I have been studying accounting for many years, for my age. I know it very very well. But there are some things that even make seasoned CPAs squeamish and that is what I had to go through last night. I rested on it, and this morning, the answer presented itself to me without much effort at all. I have about 9 accounting books, from beginner's stuff all the way up to the textbooks that you would read from in masters' classes.

I love the feeling you get from knowing that you CAN do it, once it all comes together, like you said, Aqualight, it's a great feeling. Hey good luck with your classes, it is hard stuff sometimes, but it sounds like you are pretty prepared for it. I think you'll do fine. I will give you a piece of advice that I only yesterday learned to accept:

Learn when to walk away. I have been tempted before to stay buried in the books until everything resolves, but you'll only make it harder on yourself. If you take a rest, even for an hour or so, the answers come so much easier. I PROMISE. Good luck. :)

I have an accountant. She is pretty cool. Gave me Quickbooks Pro and the updates every year. She has made me more money that I could ever pay her. She teaches me all these little cheats and corners to cut so the goverment dont get my money.

Crazy! :D You'll do fine, just relax and use your judgement. It really isn't so bad, there are just some spots where you want to pull your hair out, but it always works itself out in the end. I hope you get it, you know what they say: Nothing's certain but death and taxes, and that's where the Accountant comes in. :D You'll always have work. go get em.
