Air Cooled H.P.S.

Has many people used the air cooled High Pressure Sodium lighting?Does it lower the temp and smell much in the grow room?If the room smells more pungent when the light is on...would an air cooled system help?Has anyone ever converted a HPS light to being air cooled or is it best to buy one already equipped?

 

I started out with just a 400W HPS in a bat-wing reflector. I then ended having heat issues so went ahead and bought a cool tube. Loving my temperatures now! The reflector that came with the cool tube was junk so i got rid of that and i just got crafty and mounted my decent batwing reflector over the cool tube and voila! Air cooled with good reflectiveness!

As for reducing smell, i would have to say nothing changed. Only thing the air cooling did was put my temps in check! Hope that helps.
