Yes - its aeroponics a technique used by quite a few growers. Though it is better to build your own as the size of that one in the link is small - might be ok for clone starting.

Those are awesome for clones. Allthough I have been growing for almost 10 years and just recently started using aeroponics and it was very difficult for me to use at first. NOT for inexperienced growers.

Actually, I'm using one now for herbs (it was a gift from a friend). It works GREAT! And it's very easy too because it comes with it's own seed kit and nutrients.

A light comes on when the unit needs water or nutrients so it's FOOL PROOF.

Of course if you use your own seeds, medium and nutrients, it might take a bit of testing to get it right.

I've been enjoying fresh herbs for a few weeks now!

Just out of curiosity. What kind of light does that thing use? The system itself would work but that light just looks like junk. Maybe wire up a 75-150W HPS and then we'll talk ;)

I really would like to see pics of successful growing first lol... I dunno about that thing, but if it works, then even if it's small yeilds, it would be nice to just set it and not have to care for it much.

looked at the pics in your gallery. I figured the unit itself would work fine, like it obviously has for you. But those lights are no where near the amount needed. Id just use the unit and then like i said earlier, rig up a 75-150W HPS. Hell even 4-6 CFL's would be better than what the unit comes with!

my upgrade kit came with 78wt hood.....why do i need more.....im not dong this for resale ,its for me only, and it does what i want it to.Laws in my area allow me to grow on a small scale....and for that the aerogarden is perfect......if i wanted big i would grow outside durring our 3 month growing season......small harvest every 6to8 weeks is fine with me:) ..............Monkey(silverback)grower
