The title explains it...I think i have a tampon "stuck" in me. I read post about lost/stuck tampons on this forum but I wanted to present the details in my case and see if answers I get are any different. So basically, I can't recall whether or not I removed a tampon from yesterday...Although I'm pretty sure it's in there. I usually bleed a lot more when I don't have a tampon in, but i've been bleeding a considerable amount less, and it's only the 2nd day of my period. So I've propped up one leg on the toilet, and shoved my middle finger up in the area, only to find nothing. I've gone deep enough to hit the cervix, and I've also made circular motions around the cervix. I think I've checked any space the tampon might have been lost in...When I made the circular motions I made sure I hit the walls around it. So my questions are... -What is the probabilty that the tampon is stuck in me? High? Low? If the tampon fell out while I was using the toilet, I'm sure I would have felt it like I always do. -Should I still go see a doctor? (I know the obvious answer is yes, better safe than sorry, but I just recently moved into a new area, and have no car to transport me to a clinic...which makes it difficult to actually physically get myself to a doctor.) -How deep is the space around the walls of the cervix? Perhaps I have not reached in far enough? Thanks so much..I'm really worried about infections/TSS. Right now, the results of my "search" make me want to believe that there is no tampon stuck...But I still have doubts because I always feel the tampon leaving when i take it out.
Why is she sick? She has a valid issue here.... Uuumm, I think I would go to the doctor.... I'm gonna say it, just in case... But I don't think you've got much to worry about. I mean, how far can it actually go?
NEATO! Okay so if anyone else now has an actual intelligent opinion, please do post :]. And thanks, its_des10e. You're right, how far can it go? I just wanted some opinions, maybe to see if I had missed a point/should do something else haha.
chances are extremely low, given what you have described, since you didn't feel anything. BUT did you feel for the cotton itself, or just a string? did you bear down, like a bowel movement? That can move tampons that have gone sideways, or lost their string. also, sometimes bearing down can cause a really soggy tampon to slip out somewhat undetected. if you develop a fever, or develop a bad odor, get to a doc immediately.
I was feeing for the cotton itself. Err I read on other sites about "bearing down" to move the tampon, but I don't really get what that means. Just sitting upright on the toilet and "pushing"?
it sounds like you dont have it lost, you might have forgotton, ive had that happen before, its really scary, specially trying to find it!!! If your flow doesnt seem to be usual, and you really think that its there, but you just cant find it, i would go to the doc, but first, yeah, i would bear down like drumminmama says, i know this sounds really gross, but if its in there, its gonna get weighed down, and drop while your going to the bathroom.
i would go to the doctor, much better way than trying to do something yourself. one time i had 2 tampons in me at the same time! at night time i went to take it out, and i pulled out one, then another string came! hehehe i was like :O i laughed and told all my friends, hehe.
ok, been thru this you cannot lose a tampon they don't fall out you can forget to take it out you may feel sick, that would be your body reacting to it go to the doctors, they will pull it out using a type of pap test/IUD prep and it stinks, the smell is so bad the the doc won't be using his rooms for a few hours at least
I had the same thing happen to me. I had one then it got lost some how a bad smell came on and I started thinking it was a yeast infection then i was useing yogurt plain .. and it came down and when i removed it the smell was gone almost instant.. so i know what your going threw ..Hope this helps try the yogurt it works
