So I put this cup with some soil in it, and a seed. Watered it, and put it in a box inside a shoe box, next to a source of heat. I am also doing the paper towel method, and I put the plate to heat at night. The seeds are already sprouting I water them every 6-7 hours, or at least check the water level. I can only check which grows in the paper towel one, because the other one is in the soil. edit: the heater is inside my snake's terrarium, but now the snake messed up the cup so I just put everything in a shoe box next to the heater.
Started three days ago, and the seed with the root out is now a quarter inch long. It grows an eighth of an inch per 12 hours approx.
=) Sadly, I had to throw away the one in the cup because I put too much water in it, and when trying to get rid of it, the seed fell out and I lost it. It had no root, so I guess it died from the excess water. I planted the one you see is growing faster, it grew another 1/8 of an inch by the next day that I took the picture. I am guessing 1/8 of an inch per day is reaally good, right?
I can't believe this. This morning when I posted the above, it was 1/8 of an inch. Now it's 2cm long, or .78 inches, as opposed to .125 inches. 4 times its size?! WTF?!!
The other seed I started with the one that sprouted hasn't come out. The other two I put in the day after haven't either. I hope I didn't damage the root by planting it again, because the snake messed up all the soil.
I'm not going to write here anymore. I set up a grow box. Seeing that picture brings a tear to my eye
y arnt u goin 2 post here anymore i think ur doin well how far away from ur light is up plant coz if u dont move it in close it will stretch like mad green thumbs temp
Because I used a kind of light that I wasn't supposed to, and it just shriveled up. I am taking care of it now and it is recovering, but it will take a while and it won't be the same =(
