a while back a friend of mine and his best mate walk back from a pub, really pritty drunk, just outside the flat where this guy lives and the two of them was gonna part ways, two lads with a reputation for bein complete bender twatocasters come up on them with with baseball bats. you know, the kind of dumb white kids who try to copy rap culture by putting on stupid accents, baggy clothes and beating up OAP`s in their homes. these guys square up to my mates best friend, (a one time pro boxer with a heart of gold, but skills that kills) and start pummeling him on to the floor, he puts up resistance but they land a blow that knocks him half out. they are clearly gonna kill him if my mate doesn`t intervene, so he runs into his apartment, grabs a knife from the kitchen and comes out with it, shouting and yelling like a nutter in a general "fuck off" kinda way. he waves the knife at them, he gets too close (drunk) and slashes the arm and shoulder of one of them.

this guy realised he had made a mistake, and later pleaded guilty to assault with intent and was sentanced to five years, minimum three. the two wannabe muggers were put on probation or something despite the fact that this was one of many previous offences.

this is what annoys me about this. had my friend been carrying the knife on him- max 2-4 years. but because he went into the flat 4 it he gets five, cos that makes it assault with INTENT. Which means that the kind of idiot that walks around with a flicknife in his pocket gets let off easier than him.

he is currently serving his sentance and recognises full responsibility and guilt, he is an all round good bloke.
