I use the term "Love" strongly, as I am 100% certain that I am in a state that is far beyond the state of lust. All of her attributes, and everything that she is and represents, have blinded me to a point where I will no longer give another girl a serious look. She may not be the most physically attractive, and there are other girls out there with wonderful personalities, but there isn't another one like her, and I am completely and utterly heartswept by her mere presence.

Now that that is established, let's get to the signs. Based upon the research that I've done, a Virgo/Gemini relationship is very risky, and the traits that both signs exhibit are characterized fairly good within ourselves. She is a free floating, flirtacious young woman that is always on the go and values freedom above all else it seems. I, on the other hand, am always planning ahead, focus in on the goals I want to accomplish, and value stability and logic.

On paper, it seems our differences would seemingly drive us apart. Yet, that is not the case. We have been friends for about 2 years now, and have shared many great moments together (non-sexually, except for one make-out session on Valentine's Day :D). Her fickle and dual personality has always perplexed me and keeps me wondering who I am going to get when I make a phone call or stop by and say hey to her on campus.

Whatever differences we may have, my attraction to her seems to override any small warning my concious may give to me that she may not be the person to me. I have wondered how I could cope with her trait sets, yet I find myself willing to adapt to any obstacle I would possibly face in a relationship with her. Simply put, I am trying to craft my image into a Man she would love, while retaining my core essence itself. I would greatly appreciate any advice from some Gemini's or other Astrological experts.

Perhaps another dilimmea would actually be landing her as my girl, but I am convinced that my mindset must match my heart before I even attempt that. If I go in with any doubt, I feel rejection would be her choice, and that would be something unbearable for me to handle.

    Some other details:
    - I have Asperger's Syndrome, but I have come quite a long way in making up for my social setbacks. However, some things that you may take for granted may not come to me as normal, so detail is appreciated.
    - She's a party girl admittedly, but another rather tragic fact to add is that her father passed away in 7th grade, and I know that has had some emotional reproccusions on her.
    - I see her on a somewhat daily basis, and we have always been friends for a while. Getting in contact with her isn't a problem.

Wouldn't Virgo and Gemini go together well since they are both mercury people?

here's a little advice from a gemini girl...
    1. we're hyper and playful... don't be boring!
    2. If our attention seems in other places, its nothing personal.
    3. Don't be a killjoy... no one likes that

It depends, really. Theoretically, there are 2 sides to Mercury. The windy side, which causes superficial, talkative, and self-spread traits (such as in Gemini) and the earthy side, which causes practicality, logic, and powerful analytical abilities (such as in Virgo). Now, astrology commonly states that when Virgo shows up in the chart, you are getting a more earthy taste of Mercury, and if Gemini is present, you are getting a more windy side. But in general observation of Mercury ruled peoples, either side could turn up despite your starsign influence. You could be an introverted, pragmatic Virgo, or a scatterbrained, busybody Virgo. You could be a Gemini who only touches the surface of things and never shuts up, or a quiet, reasonable Gemini (or sometimes both :p).

Either or, there are certain key mercurial traits that seem to always show up in a Mercury person, regardless of your zodiacal influence, including: quick speech paired with an even quicker mind, excellent problem solving skills, the ability to mentally organize and catagorize your thoughts and communicate them with great success, witty/clever/persuasive speech, nervous tension, restlessness, a habit of keeping yourself busy, perhaps a degree of absent-mindedness, and a quick loss in interest of things and/or multiple contradicting interests and points of view occuring at the same time.

Note that while Mercury dominated people have the majority of their natural gifts lying in their mind and in their dexterity, they are also the most prone to mental and nervous disorder, and mental/verbal disability. There will usually be astrological signs of this in the birthchart, such as negatively aspected Mercury, etc.

    Oh, and to answer your question. :p See? I'm your typical airheaded Mercury child ^-^;

It really relies on what side of Mercury illuminates your personality. If the Virgo and Gemini both turn out more airy, or if they share compatible aspects of their birthchart, then yes, these two could get along very well. But if the Virgo is more Virgo and the Gemini is more Gemini, then typically these people would not be compatible, considering their thought processes would contradict each other (e.g. Virgo likes organization, order, focus, and conscientiousness, while Gemini prefers to be disorganized, spur of the moment, thinly-spread, and have a wandering mind.)

I always say: never base combatibility assessments solely on sun signs. If you both have Venus in Leo, for example, your "degree of compatibility" could improve dramatically. The same thing would apply to positively aspected moon signs. But, if we're forced take into account only the sun signs, then it's really a matter of understanding the fundamental lessons of astrological aspects. While a square (90 degrees) aspect (=Gemini to Virgo) is usually associated with friction and inherent challenges, establishing a proactive relationship with a square (whether in one's natal chart or between two charts) can be incredibely positive and probably the aspect most conducive to growth and the broadening of perceptual horizons. So, I suppose it's ultimately a matter of how deeply you're willing to commit to the relationship. If it does turn out to be a "conventional" Gemini/Virgo dynamic, then it will no doubt require some patience and discipline on your part at the very least...but of course, being a Virgo, you probably have both of those qualities in abundance! :) Regardless of your ultimate choice, good luck!

im a gemini girl- be openminded and up for anything. We like confidence and SMILING. Always smile! We dont like no-friends (people who always say no..). We like people who can keep the conversation..Don't tell her your life story Don't tell her every little thing about you. We like a bit of mystery. We WANT to figure you out and think you're exciting even if you're not. but remember, beyond the zodiac, shes a girl. be yourself, and dont be afraid to ask her to go see the newest movie
