here is the link for the show!! mp3's for all you headies... http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dzgvw4v_2fjbtqp
if you people truly want peace, then why would you bother voting for him? he said he'd be not beyond the idea of bombing pakistan and invading iran. Hillary has said the same thing about Iran as well. Obama has whined about the troops being over in Iraq, but then turns around and votes to continue funding the war effort with everyone's tax dollars.
"choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil" - Jerry Garcia Boy does Americas political situation make me sad... Anyway thanks for the video!
i'd like to see your sources. because i smell bullshit. and a lot of it. Obama is a candidate for change and peace.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Wb711Dnwf5c here in his own words he advocates invading pakistan http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=3434573&page=1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UodaKiSp9xc&feature=related http://votesmart.org/voting_category.php?can_id=9490 Appropriations (Back to top) Date Bill Title Vote 03/29/2007 Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Bill of 2007 Y 07/12/2006 Transit Security Amendment Y 06/22/2006 Defense Department FY 2007 Authorization bill Y 06/15/2006 Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2006 Y 05/04/2006 Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2006 Y 05/03/2006 Influenza Vaccine Injury Compensation Amendment Y 05/02/2006 Sugarcane Growers Funding Amendment N 12/21/2005 Defense Department FY2006 Appropriations bill N 12/21/2005 Defense Department FY2006 Appropriations bill Y 11/16/2005 Commerce, Justice, Science, Appropriations Bill FY 2006 Y 11/15/2005 Defense Department FY2006 Authorization bill Y 11/10/2005 Foreign Operations FY2006 Appropriations Bill Y 11/03/2005 Agriculture, Rural Development, FDA Appropriations Act Y 10/27/2005 After School Funding Amendment Y 10/27/2005 Labor, HHS, Education, FY 2006 Appropriations bill Y 10/26/2005 Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Funding Amendment N 10/20/2005 Transportation, Treasury, HUD, Judiciary, Appropriation Y 10/07/2005 Defense Department FY2006 Appropriations bill Y 10/05/2005 Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program Amendment Y 09/22/2005 Agriculture, Rural Development, FDA Appropriations Act Y 07/29/2005 Interior Department FY 2006 Appropriations Bill Y 07/29/2005 Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, 2006 Y 07/20/2005 Foreign Operations FY2006 Appropriations Bill Y 07/19/2005 US Agency for International Development Amendment N 07/14/2005 Increase the Number of Detention Beds Amendment N 07/14/2005 Homeland Security Department FY 2006 Appropriations Act Y 07/11/2005 Air Cargo Security Programs Implementation Amendment Y 07/01/2005 Energy and Water Appropriations bill FY 2006 Y 06/29/2005 Interior Department FY 2006 Appropriations Bill Y 05/10/2005 Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2005 Y 04/21/2005 Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2005 Y 04/18/2005 Future Military Funding for Iraq Amendment NV as you can see he has voted to give the department of defense more money. i highly doubt that the money is staying here at home in the united states. if it's got anything to do with the department of defense you can bet your ass it's going to be funneled into the war effort. as far as iran goes, here is buying into the whitehouse nonsense about iran http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/09/04/why-is-barack-obama-buying-into-white-house-framing-on-iran/ iran never once threatened to wipe israel off the map. it's a crock of shit. just goes to show what you don't know about this man. and here he is at a campaign stop and he's the only democtratic candidate that did NOT salute the american flag https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOtsJufVs5Y uninformed foreigners really should stay out of american political discussions. if by some chance he does get into office he won't change a damn thing. he represents just another candidate backed by morally void corporate america. to me the only democratic candidate that was even worth a shit is Dennis Kucinich, but he dropped out of the race. which leaves us with Ron Paul, i'd like to see Ron Paul get the job. unfortunately his chance of doing so is slim.
Click. One vote Obama. Ron Paul's a nutjob who found how to harness the pockets of clueless fanbois using the www. Concert was great!
ron paul isn't a nutjob. and obama is NOT an agent for change, his voting record speaks for itself. most of you simply want him in because he's black. you're voting based on his ethnic background and not his stances. like a poster above me who quoted jerry garcia said. picking the lesser of two evils is still evil. besides, why would you want someone to be president of your country who places his hands at his crotch instead of saluting the american flag? even that cackling hag hillary knew to put her right hand over her heart when the national anthem was being played. Obama is naive and inexperienced anyways. you think Ron Paul is nuts because that's what media pundits tell you.
I really enjoyed the show, even though it did make me a bit sad remembering all the times I saw Jerry at the Warfield. I'm with the lesser of two evils approach to voting so I have not been swayed into voting for Obama. Instead of being a deadhead for Obama I'm a deadhead for none of the above.
i can understand your logic there. but of all those remaining in the race, ron paul is the most logical of them all. the majority of his campaign money donated to him has come through grass roots efforts. he's also the republican candidate who recieves the most donations from our men and women int he military. ron paul was opposed to the war in iraq from the begining. so this tells me that a lot of people in our military oppose the iraq nonsense as well. they just aren't allowed to speak up about it because they'd get court martialed for doing so.
Obama is just a politician saying what it takes to win. The only politician I feel truth coming from is Dr. Ron Paul. Obama is not an agent of change as you can see from his voting record, he won't even say what kind of change he wants. Ron Paul is the true candidate for change!
A lot of my political views are in line with the Libertarian Party and Ron Paul is definately more Libertarian than Republican, but I can't get behind his move to the latter. Sure he didn't stand a chance as a Libertarian, but at this point he hasn't a chance of being the GOP candidate either, so he's not going to matter anyway. And further taking the wind out of my presidential voting sails is the fact that Alaska will have a Republican marjority and our three electoral votes will go to the Republican candidate no matter how I vote. So I'll cast another useless vote to the Libertarians or Green party along with a couple thousand of my fellow Alaskan voters.
if anything Ron Paul's presense in this race just goes to show how tired people are with the way america's government is running things. they're spending us further into debt without any real solutions. Ron paul isn't anything new. he also ran for president back in 1988. when it comes to our monetary situation he's right. paper money backed by gold is a lot more secure than paper money back by paper. he's also right in his desire to wanty to do away with the war on drugs and the irs/federal income tax. of all them still in this race he seems to be the most down to earth and human like. Obama on the other hand seems to be a bunch of hype and hot air.
most republican politicians these days seem to be staunchly neoconservative. neocons would rather focus on controling the world and pushing everyone else around. as opposed to taking care of what needs to be taken care of here at home. they also love their corporate welfare too. most of them were trotskyite communists in the 60s and 70s.
I voted for Paul in 1988. With good ideas like the ones you mentioned above, stopping the war on drugs and disbanding the IRS etc, do you really think the Republican party would actually let him become their candidate?
of course they don't want him in office. his ideas are threatening to them and appeal mainly to regular working class people. they have our electoral process rigged anyways to where it benfits their agenda. which is why Bush miraculously "won" both of the previous two elections. there were convicted felons and deceased people who ended up voting for Dumbya down in Florida. we can thank Katherine Harris tampering with the election on that one. not to mention his brother just so happened to be the governor of the deciding state.
nobody who refuses to pledge allience to my country deserves to be president of my country. it's really that simple. what type of guy do you mean? someone who questions a politicians loyalty to this country we he won't even be bothered to respect one of our national symbols? yes i am that guy. why is it a canadian like yourself is even bothering to get involved with american politics? even the the mangina holder Hillary knew to salute the flag and pledge her alleigence. it's called being respectful. if you don't understand that, tough shit.
