I find this drug to be fascinating. It's so ellusive to words. How would you describe the experience?

I'm pretty sure it has effects on your brain's ability to recognize objects and places. That's why at high enough doses, you completely forget where you are and can't recognize your environment.

Other's might describe the experience differently though. How would you describe it to someone who hasn't ever done it?

Unpredictable in some ways, and consistent in others. Consistent in that it takes you to a very different, yet very familiar place.

Yeah, I've had that "familiarity" experience too. It fits in with my theory. When lady salvia suppresses your ability to recognize familiar objects and places, it allows older memories to resurface and take their place. Like, for example, once when I was baked off salvia, sitting in my living room, I no longer recognized where I was as my present living room but the living room in my childhood house. It could be that the brain stores information about your life as it is in the present under certain categories - such as "my house", "my car", "my brother", "my sister", etc. - and any time one of these things changes - like moving to a new house - it "saves over" the old information with the new stuff. I think salvia removes the new stuff and brings the old stuff back... but that's just a theory.

I've had salvia trips where I forget I'm anyone or anything. Or how anything works. The very rules that made up life and my being, and everyone else's being are gone. Scary part is that you still have conscious thought during this potentially terrifying yet awesome experience. I've found myself feeling freed yet trapped, vocabulary wiped, yet thoughts intact... Half the time I find it hysterical.

I've caught myself refering to myself as "he" sometimes.
