the choice is to be a man and vote your convictions not a sheeple an vote for the lesser of evils that has a chance.. hasnt this election showed you how the media manipulates the masses into believing who should be the front runners? dont you see the powers that be are dictating who are the front runners? your buying right into there plan.. your vote is your voice, if you believe that ron pauls beliefs are best for the country then you should vote for him no matter what. that is the only way change will ever come about in this country. by voting for obama you may as well be spitting in ron pauls face.. its painfully obvious your not willing to stand up for what you believe in.really is sad,i wonder just how many people would have voted for ron paul on super tuesday if they thought he had a chance but "didnt want to waste there vote"thanks to the media telling them it would be... dont worry about me being a asshole, im sure the powers that be are so happy seeing what a good little sheeple you really are.. so who do you vote for now? how about who you intended on voting for? P.S. you as a supporter of ron paul have read about his plan to have enough delegates at the convention to be able to have his voice heard, then possibly have a chance to sway the delegates even though he didnt win the majority?at the very least his message will be heard again and will perhaps sway future generations to see the reality of what our government has become.. no of course not, your to busy giving up hope and voting for someone that stands for everything paul is against.. sheeple never cease to reiterate to me why there is such a word...
The "he will never win" crap has led the country down the road to Shitsville for so long, that we whind up electing politicians who say and do jack shit, and only damage the country and it's life quality. Beware Neocon supporters are using mis-information tactics on everyone because you all are moving in the right direction, so don't stop believing in what you think is right. You've always got time for Tim Hortons
No. Ron Paul's beliefs are the best thing for this country, BUT HE IS NOT GOING TO WIN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, MOVE ON. What is so hard to understand about that? So instead of wasting a vote, I'm putting mine to use and working with what Washington has given us. The best thing for this country (that will actually happen) is not having another neocon in office. Are we done yet? No one's going to win this argument.
If everyone had the mentality of "well, im not going to waste my vote on him", then yea of course he will never win. But if all of Ron Pauls supporters started voting for him, maybe people would realize that he acually could have a chance of winning, and then maybe more people would vote for him in the next election.
This whole circular argument of voting or not voting for Ron Paul is kinda pointless. Even if everyone who supported Ron Paul in one way or another would vote for him, he'd still not have 1/10th of the support candidates such as Clinton or McCain have... that's the simple reality. Is it a wasted vote? I can easily argue that any vote in this election is a wasted vote since all the major candidates are almost the same thing. Yet, I would vote for someone a tad more practical, like Obama, if I actually believed in the political process. It's nice to be idealistic, but you eventually have to open your eyes to the bigger picture. An Obama vs. McCain race sounds much more appealing than a Hillary vs. McCain race.
:banghead: oh an obama isnt a neocon? He says hes for "Bringing a responsible end" to the war in Iraq and refocusing on the broader region. He is going to "Marshall a global effort" to secure, destroy, and stop the spread of weapons of mass destruction. He Wants to add 65,000 soldiers to the Army and 27,000 Marines. He would consider military action in Pakistan in order to attack al-Qaeda, even if the Pakistani government did not give approval. heres some direct quotes,(look them up if you dont believe me) i could keep going but thats good enough . So this non "neocon" wants to pull out of iraq and says he would not hesitate to go into Pakistan, while all the while Refusing to talk of any options against Iran. so tell me how this guy aint a neocon? whatever man,ive said all i can say. you do whatever you feel you should,as for me,ill stay true to my beliefs whether i make a difference or not.. if paul aint there for november, then ill do as ive always done and vote libertarian. BBBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA............
I will not settle for the lesser of two evils! I will support Ron Paul until the bitter end, which is still far away. McCain will have a very tough time making the required number of delegates unless Romney releases his delegates to him. I support the REVOLUTION no matter what it takes.
Obama is a little bit naive when it comes to foreign policy, he wants to "talk" with Iran... what he doesn't understand is that they have a set goal they want to acomplish and they will just use these talks and bullshit as much as they can to get closer to their goals, you can not reason or talk to these people, they will not under any circumstance comprimise...I speak from personal experience with that government and I know its history and beliefs. What I really don't get is the democrats that keep on saying okay pull out of Iraq now and let them solve it, well I didn't agree with actually going into Iraq, you can't just leave now and say okay whatever we quit... they never talk about what will happen next, do think think that it will turn into some sort of good safe place for people to prosper and enjoy life? or will it get run over by terrorists who will turn it into another Afghanistan??
do i think it will become caos if we pull out? yes.. however im a libertarian,, therefore i feel its none of our business what happens to them.. fuckem,, open up the oil fields in alaska, off the coast of florida, and start milking the shell rock again till we get our alternative fuel sources going and let the middle east burn!! its not our problem....
ya know since this thread is still kinda on topic by someone suggesting obama is a viable replacement for paul, i thought id throw a couple things out here an see what folks think.. O.K. obama was raised muslim,he actually went to a madrassa .now i dont believe he is a sleeper terrorist like some nut jobs do,however there still remains a huge problem were he to be elected. under sharia law,the punishment for leaving islam is death. i think its fair to say that most people in middle eastern countries observe sharia law.so how is he supposed to accomplish anything there when the masses are screaming for his death louder than they are for bush? after all its one thing to be a infidel,,its a whole other ball game to be a apostate. now lets look at his christian beliefs.. has anyone looked at this church he is a member of? http://www.tucc.org/about.htm oh they seem like quite the bunch.. We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community. The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision: 1. A congregation committed to ADORATION. 2. A congregation preaching SALVATION. 3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION. 4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA. 5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION. 6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION. 7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA. 8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION. 9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION. 10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY. these seem to imply some fairly radical views. quite frankly,to me it has socialist and entitlement written all over it.. i dunno, i just dont see him as a viable alternative for a constitutionalist/libertarian candidate..
well I don't think they will forget how we fucked their country and left them to die lol, revenge maybe? I'm pretty sure I would be pretty pissed off. and it takes years of "open up" oil fields can't be done in one day, in the mean time we gotta get energy from somewhere
well the way i see it is if we brought all our troops home and closed our bases globally we would have a huge amount of troops as well as funding to protect our borders and properly defend against terrorism on our own shores so once again,, fuckem.. and thats with letting anyone who wants out of the military out... constitutionalism really is a simple concept... beyond that,i thought the terrorists were pissed at us cause we were meddling in there affairs in the first place, isnt that supposedly why they want us to get out of there countries? so if we do that then in theory they should have no reason to want to attack us,at least thats what they claim.. if not, refer back to the first paragraph in this post.....
if we closed all our bases globally I don't think America would be much of a superpower anymore, the whole military projection thing would be damaged and thats pretty much why we are a military super power.no matter how much money you pour into defense, they will have entire countries to use a bases to lauch/plot attacks. They don't want to compromise, and you can't just line troops on the coast and say now we are protected...the way I see it is, the only way to actually win and not turn this problem into an even bigger one is to actually stay in Iraq so we can gain a strong ally in the middle east. Also what will we do about Iran? You want to just sit back @ home and watch all our allies get attacked and just say "fuckem"?? Not that I really like Isreal, but what would we do if they got nuked by Iran and pretty much the entire middle east is under their influence? Where would we be now if we had just said "fuckem" in WWII?
well in a word.. yes our "allies" do nothing but send token amounts of troops into anything that we are supposedly "allied" against.. let them deal with there own shit. as far as Israel, weve propped them up for far to long ,i say quit funding all our puppet regimes and start focusing on america again.. seems to me the whole world has hated us for long enough while weve pumped trillions of dollars and massive amounts of manpower into things that we are supposedly in a coalition with these "allies", when in reality we are doing 90 percent of the funding and work ourselves.. as far as WW2, IF THE BANKERS OF AMERICA WOULDNT HAVE BEEN BANK ROLLING THE NAZIS,THERE WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN A ww2.. YA HAVE TO LOOK AT THE ROOT OF THE CAUSE BEFORE YA PLAY THE WHAT IF GAME... ooops sorry for the caps,, ...
give me a break dude, the you obviously don't know anything about hitler and swallow that crap. provide a source and lets see who funded that study before you talk.
