LISTEN UP: my random take on men and women.

okay, first of all, yeah, i'm a feminist. only from the perspective that if you're doing the damend job, you get paid equal for it. but let's be honest, there are jobs that MOST men are better at than MOST women. and vice versa. a woman shouldn't take shit for a traditionally male job, nor should a man take shit for a traditionally female job. that's my definition of feminism.

here's the one that may make people have a shit fit. i think men are more civilized than women. i think we are, in fact, more driven by our primal physical natures than men are. oh yeah, i know that men get the horn-dog role, but to be honest, our current definition of civilized is male driven.

why do i think so? because it seems that once a society reaches a degree of size and complexity, and physically stronger hand and less "naturally" driven hand is required to take care of the specifics. by nature i mean "isn't going to have a fit when she's on the rag, isn't going to make a decision based on an emotional basis.

do i think that all decisions based on emotion are bad? HELL NO. however, there's been any number of times i've been overridden that i've been glad for it in the big picture.

HOWEVER, i do not believe for one second that being a bitch for your beliefs, a slut for your longings, or a total **** for your business is a bad thing at all. in fact, i consider those a compliment, because in the end, it just means they don't know how to deal with you outside of insults. to me an insult is a victory. i WON. you've so totally rendered someone incapable of anything else to say or do that all they have left is ugly words. good for you.

but yes, i do believe men are more civilized than women. they compromise on topics that women would never be able to do. because we're mothers, we're sisters, we're savages.

i have more, but i can't think of it all right this second.

I definitely agree that men compromise more. For example, when women argue, they hald a grudge. It's possible even for good friends to fasll out and not talk for months or ever again. Men on the other hand, shout or slap each other around bit and then get on with it.

But I'm too lazy to qualify everything. It's very hard to make any sort of comment on mankind/womankind without using some sort of generalisation. We are all different.
